What a wild ride! I wanted a little bit more social commentary but it's an overall great slasher story.

A new favorite classic. A whimsical and clever story that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

I'll be honest: I went into this fully ready to be an outlier and hate it. Over the duration of this book Matthew wooed me and changed my mind. This is manic pixie farm boy energy. He is just himself without arrogance or shame. What a life he has lived.

I loved this but am struggling to articulate why. It's certainly a "woman vs the void" story but there's more to it than that. An interesting character study on psychosocial obsession and merging, I think it will be hit-or-miss for a lot people, but it really worked for me. I think its one of my favorites of the year.

I love a final girl story and this did not disappoint. The writing was heartbreaking and beautiful at parts. I read this on audiobook and I'm definitely going to re-read it with my eyes soon.

Wow, what a gift of vulnerability Elliot gives us in this story. 4 stars does NOT reflect their experience but more the writing. The time jumps and non-chronological order threw me off a lot but that could entirely be a "me" issue.
