Normally I try to give a book a chance of 20% or ~100 pages, but it's incrediblely clear that the author is doing armchair psychology in place of genuine character building and has read too much Psychoanalysis for my taste. 

Didn't quite get hooked, but I also didn't read enough to say that i wouldn't try again some other time. 

A read 33% of the stories and they just didn't capture my attention to want to read the rest. 

It was too slow and felt like little happen in the first 1/3 of the book. 

I find Hera to be a very unlovable character and realized quickly that this story paints her as an underdog. Which, yeah Zeus is controlling and oppressive, but I want a character with fighting for a place in the world, not fighting to take over the world. 

I was curious enough of the storyline to continue the series, but ultimately the poor writing and underdeveloped world was a bit too much for me.

Though I would except growth from the main character, I'm just not interested in rich posh girl grows and falls in love with poor guy. 

Wasn't really funny to me. To each their own. 

I watched the TV show and it was great. Clearly someone capable took this book series and (1) filled in the plot holes, (2) removed the clique, (3) added depth to the characters, (4) removed stereotypes, etc. Etc. Etc.

I would suggest skipping this one. 

Got distracted. Probably won't come back.
