I'm super conflicted on this one. I have loved every book in Ana's Kings of Sins, until this one. I still enjoyed King of Envy, just not in the way that I did books 1-4.
Ana mentioned that this is the first morally grey MMC she wrote since her Twisted series and I think that's my problem. The Twisted series wasn't for me and I think that style of MMC bleeds into King of Envy and was why I didn't love this one as much as I loved King of Wrath and King of Greed.
I thoroughly adored Ayana. As far as FMCs go, she's probably one of my favorite of Ana's.

4 Stars!
I really enjoyed how easy this story was to read. I flew through it in two days. I hesitate to consider it a romantasy (for myself) because we spent the 80% of the book without the two love interests. We were just feeling the grief of losing a mate and then adventuring with our girl to find her mate.
I enjoyed the conflict between Tamsyn and Vetr. I had a feeling about him in the previous book and I was totally right. The author didn't take it too far, but she took it just far enough. I really liked that plot point.
I'm hopeful for more of Kerstin and Nayden. I wanted more of Kerstin in this book but I can't wait to see what sort of animosity gets cooked up in the next with Nayden.
I loved the Stig interactions. He was just perfectly evil. Though I do wish we'd been able to see what occured with the royal family post whipping scene. Oh to be a fly on that wall (or tent?).
I'm ready for the next book!

What on earth does Tarah DeWitt put in these books?! Left of Forever was so beautifully done. I'm not usually a second chance kind of person but after meeting Wren and Ellis in Savor It, I knew I was going to be just fine with this second chance. The maturity and love between them was so beautiful to watch unravel.
Tarah writes so beautifully. I was SOBBING at Sam going away to college. I am a childless woman in my 30s. Hell, I'm older than Wren and Ellis and I'm still sobbing at the thought of leaving my child at college and that wasn't even a main point of the story. (I mean, it is, Sam going off to college is what started the week of adventure, but not a part of the love story.)
I hope Tarah continues with the rest of the Byrds! I would love to see Micah heal from baseball and Silas heal from his accident. And of course, more of Sam and Indy's friendship.

When this book title says Sweet, it means sweet. I think this is the sweetest coziest love story I've seen Katee Robert write (and in Olympus, no less!). It was great. I loved the relationship between Poseidon and Icarus. Poseidon's outward calm soothing Icarus but Icarus also steadying the raging chaos inside Poseidon? I love it. As a person that struggles very much with internal anxiety, I felt that to my core.
I do wish we'd had a little more time with the two. It felt like this book was a build up for Hera/Zeus and Hermes and starting to tie up the overall ending, with a sweet little love story thrown in. I think this book happened over the course of 4-5 days?? I know insta-love but even this was pushing it for me. Not knocking it for that, it was true love story and I soaked up every iota of it.

3 Stars. This book was not meant for me.
The book felt very juvenile. In the beginning I thought that they'd been together as adults and had lived and experienced life together. But it turns out they were best friends but only dated for a short summer? I just didn't get the emotional depth. I wish we hadn't found out about Wyatt until they'd met again at the airport. Would have made it more believable for me. Adding to the juvenile feel were all the flashbacks to *only* their teenage years. I don't mind flashbacks, it's how we get a good second chance romance, but they were basically kids.
Secondly, absolutely nothing was realistic about Wyatt's military experience. Except for basic training at Fort Benning. As a former army employee at a basic training unit and being a military spouse to a combat veteran, it was not real. Enlisted Soldiers don't fly planes. Basic training is basic training, not survivalist school. You know what's also in basic training? Radio communications. The whole plot line of his military experience pulled me out of the book entirely.
The book was written well, just not a believable plot line.

Moderate: Death of parent, War
I wasn't sure I was ready to read this book in March in West Texas, because it was taking me all the way back to the chilly cold of an Alaksan winter, but fortunately this book kept me warm.
Forrest and Margot are adorable. I appreciated how they understood each other. Initially I didn't like Margot, ordering Forrest to carry her luggage, fill her ice water, etc. Just felt like big mean girl energy and it was a good portrayal of how we don't act like ourselves when we have so much going on and we've been taken out of our comfort zone. I adored how Forrest referred to his heart as a home for Margot. Getting the fairy lights and throw blankets. I internally swooned every time he brought it up.
The third act break up caught me off guard. Like, I knew it was coming because it was inevitable that if Trapper didn't have an emergency, Savannah would? But it coming so late in the book got me. I loved that Trapper took things into his own hands and helped our lovebirds fix themselves. Why do I feel like Savannah was also an unnamed accomplice in this?
Before I leave off, I feel like a mention needs to be added that while this book was not overflowing in spicy scenes. Each one was placed perfectly and holy cannoli. The scenes were so steamy (the pun MIGHT be intended) that I can't believe Alaska had any snow left in the book. Perfection.

One of my absolute favorites from the series! I love a forbidden/dark romance. And the "Tell me no" ooph, hits every right spot. Katee knocked it out of Olympus with this one, literally and figuratively :) Definitely in my top three of the Dark Olympus series. I fear nothing will top Hades and Persephone, but Ariadne and Minotaur come close.
medium-paced
I was super excited for this book based on the epilogue from Hemi and Dallas’ book. It didn’t disappoint!
I watch a lot of hockey and fully understand the game, but loved the behind the scenes we got in this book. I love that I have no clue whether they were accurate or not.
I enjoyed Lexi’s take no shit attitude with the team. Roman, as always, perfect daddy attitude.
The reason for knocking a star off is because I don’t know that I would have appreciated this book as much if I hadn’t read the novella. I read them back to back so it was almost as one book for me.
Loved the build up for the next couples. I am *dying* to know if we’re going to get a ✨very forbidden✨ age-gap, coach’s daughter with Flip and Tally. Even the foreshadowing with the coach saying something like he’d prefer Flip over no-name.

Abby did what Abby does and took something that is so very serious and made a rom-com. To be clear, no disrespect was done to the seriousness of the situation, it was handled respectfully. But also, so adorable. I never thought I'd be swooning over tree puns, but here we are.
Charlotte and Seth were great. Another hit from Abby.

I finished this book at 11:54 PM and immediately had to get up out of bed and write this review. This book is that good. I first saw Jessica Joyce recommend this book on her social media. I went straight to NetGalley and requested it for myself. I'm so glad I did.
Alexandra Kiley's writing is like a mix of B.K. Borison and Jessica Joyce. Beautiful imagery, soft and tender relationships. I couldn't get enough. I adored Jack and loved the growth each of the MCs had. Especially Brooke's growth, being able to forgive Jack and realize he was trying to protect her and wasn't out for himself.
I didn't realize that this was an interconnected book. I *really* appreciated that. So many times, one reads an interconnected stand alone and you feel like you're on the outside of a friend group. You don't understand the inside jokes and you realize the side characters are being spoken of intimately, but you barely know them. It wasn't until 90% of the way through Scot and Bothered and Logan and Jack were discussing Addie that I realized there MIGHT be another book. I am so grateful for that. It was a small blip and at no point did I feel like I was missing a deep part of the story.
The celebration of life had me in my feels and my eyes were profusely watering. So beautifully written.
I also really loved the ending and epilogue. So often we're given the happily ever after of engagements and babies. But what we got was even better, dreams that came true.
