I really liked this one. The back and forth timeline, the short chapters, the added POV. But as soon as it all came together it was a big old WTF.
You could see a twist coming a mile away but this twist... it's a no for me.

I somehow read the Avalon Bay series out of order reading this one second. Classic!
Sometimes, you pick up a book at the exact right moment, and any other time, it wouldn't have hit the same. That's this book for me.
I put this one down for a couple of days. It wasn't the books fault. I'm just a mood reader trying her best. After picking it back up, I found I really liked it. The characters had depth, I love the reoccurring characters from book 1. The banter in this one was so fun, I liked these 2 more than Mackenzie and Cooper.
Cassie's relationship with her mother is so relatable to anyone who has a narcissistic mother. When Cassie stood up for herself, I was proud of her, knowing how hard that is and knowing she's a fictional character.

The purge but make it spicy!
This is a short and hot one that is easily read in one sitting. Not that you'll want to put it down unless having sex near dead bodies is a turn off for you...
Karma is a bitch with a shit boyfriend it's no wonder she is falling for the man she captured and is supposed to be interrogating for information.
Masks and a secret society! Oh my this one is hot from the get go and now I want to go to a party with neon body paint but maybe less murder. π
Check your triggers before diving into this one or check your triggers at the door and dive into this 8 book series. They are all stand alones in the same world and I can't wait to read them all!

I really enjoyed this one. There is mystery, twists, amateur sleuthing and murder. What more can you ask for!? How far would you go if you suspected your significant other of murder? I'd definitely hope I had a friend like Lily to help me get to the bottom of it.
I am disappointed in myself for not realizing until too late that this is the 3rd book in the Henry Kimball series to top it off I own the 2nd already now I guess I'll have to track down the 1st.

I listened to this one on Audible.
I really enjoyed this story though I found it slow paced for the most part. Main character Cordelia is a shy and scared girl who I just wanted to yell at but was also totally relatable to anyone who had a controlling mother. The side characters in this one are top notch. This one is a little bit magic and a lot friendship and bravery.

I couldn't put this one down, it starts off a bit slow but once the pieces start coming together I was hooked! I read this one as a 7 day buddy read but ended up reading 2 days ahead because I was dying to know.
There are many POVs and at first I found it hard to keep track of who's who. There are also multiple timelines but it's kept very organized and was easy to keep straight.
With two different mysteries this one has your guesses all over the place and you are constantly changing your mind on who did it.
I ate this one up, it's a great story that leaves no questions unanswered in the end.

This was the pick for my August Read-A-Long.
I really liked this one. With multiple POVs and a dual timeline gives so much more insight to the story but also brings more questions and intrigue. I also enjoyed the addition of the journal entries and the spooky vibes and urban legend feel.
Eddie is the real MVP for me, he was the only character that I actually liked. The last line of the book had me laughing out loud π©βπ³π

I enjoyed this read. The dual timeline and POV kept me very invested in the story and wanted to know what really happened.
I found Bev's POV to be more interesting. I felt like she was relatable, but I found myself wanting to scream at her.
I found June's POV to be almost annoying at times. I can't imagine what it would be like to try to deal with the sudden death of my husband, but I just wanted to shake some sense into her.
Unfortunately, as the story came together, it was kind of where it all fell flat for me. I felt like the Bev storyline was unbelievable. There are too many unanswered questions surrounding the Michelle incident.
The epilogue tied a lot together, but I was left confused about Michelle and Bev. I donβt think I can say more without a spoiler alert β οΈ so I'll leave it at that.

I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
I listened to this one over a few days. I enjoyed the back and forth POV from Owen and Sienna. Keeping the killer secret but giving the occasionally chapter with their POV added intrigue and mystery.
Unfortunately, I was pretty sure who the killer was early on, but it was a good listen none the less. Molly was easily my favorite character, just wholesome and kind. I didn't care much for the main characters Owen or Sienna. I found Leo annoying from the start, and that never changed.
The whirlwind love story of an unlikely couple from 2 different worlds. Sienna is left wondering if everyone is right, how well does she really know her husband... while trying to figure that out, she is faced with reasons to not trust anyone on this secluded island that used to be her safe space.
A twists in the end chapter revealed during a conversation between Sienna and her mother, I was confused when this wasn't revealed earlier as it felt obvious so I'm glad all the loose ends were tied in a nice bow.

Enjoyed reading this one but found it took me longer to get through it. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters and most were unlikable with moments of likability. Nico annoyed me from the start, I didn't care for any of the guys. The girls won me over in the end but I didn't like any of them.
I like the journal entries and radio transmissions throughout.
The twist was less twisty than I would have liked but it was an enjoyable read.
