It's silly and fun and full of mystery. The story wasn't top notch but it was so fun to listen to.

I'm obsessed. No notes.
I'm not typically a fan of a second chance romance, but this one is my exception.
I loved everything about this one, including the reappearance of Aly and Josh. I didn't think it would have been possible for me to love the sequel as much, if not more, than the first, but here we are!

To be clear, 3 stars is not a bad score. I enjoyed this book as I was reading it, but overall, I felt like something was missing.
It read like a debut authors first book to me or a YA book that had some s&x sprinkled in. The story had promise but wasn't polished, and the spice wasn't spicy enough.
I did enjoy the FMC, the main love interest, and the female friendships along the way. Overall, good groundwork for potential but not enough to be memorable

I found it captivating.
I wasn't a huge One Tree Hill fan, so I wasn't sure if I would vibe with her story. Then it started off hugely religious, so I was still not sure if it would be for me. But Bethany Joy Lenz doing the audio for her own story added such a level of realness to it I was sucked in. I find cults to be fascinating, and I loved how this story starts before she was in the cult and continues to when she realizes she's in a cult to how she got out.
I really enjoyed this one and highly recommend the audiobook.

I love Charlie.
Charlie is back as the love interest, and he has grown up. Alice is our FMC, and she is suspicious of Charlie and his flirty ways immediately. This leads to an awkward, fake, enemies to lovers type situation that I was not a fan of. Once Alice admits that she wants to be Charlie's friend and not argue with him about silliness, the story picks up.
I wish there was a stronger female friendship representation in this one. I didn't feel the grandma Nan & Alice connection as much as I would have liked.
My hope is for a book 3 exploring a friendship between Alice and Percy 🤞🏼

I have no notes. This book broke my heart. The narrator was great. The story was heavy and heartbreaking but told beautifully.
slow-paced

First off, let tell you how excited I was to receive an ARC, I was dying to tell everyone. I love Lisa Jewell, but this is not my favorite.
There are so many characters, adding a back and forth timeline, and no character name at the beginning of each chapter equals a recipe for confusion.
Once I got all the characters straight and the pace picked up, I really enjoyed this story.  Ash and Emma are the real MVPs stopping at nothing to keep their mom's safe.

‼️ Potential Spoiler ‼️ I really thought Jane was going to be a former wife or girlfriend in the end.

This one hit me right in the feels in chapter 1. I can't wait to continue this series and see where the story goes.
I have loved every Rebecca Yarros book I've read so far and I will continue to read the stories she puts out.
Ember is the strong FMC we need and finds a way to finally put her need first. Josh is swoon worthy and the MMC we all deserve.

More than one line had me kicking my feet but this line: You're everything I'm not allowed to want, because of things I've done, and things I'll potentially do. I had no right to love you, but I couldn't help myself. 🫠

It's a fun vacation thriller. The story was good. Two POVs is always a bonus, but you soon realize that one might not be a reliable narrator. Unfortunately I figured out the main twist a bit too early but not all the details. I found the ending to over explain all the details a bit too much, but it leaves no questions.
Don't skip the epilogue on this one.

This one is wild!
A family full of wilderness, Mia might be a bit much, but she's not wrong. Maybe she doesn't deal with everything in the best way, but she trusts her gut and refuses to be gas lit.
The main twist isn't really a twist, in my opinion. I figured it out pretty early on. I think there were about 100 pages left, and I couldn't see how this story was going to get dragged out. I enjoyed this one, it's crazy but a well constructed story.
