Weird, excellent pacing and use of time and explanations as we learn both more about the character and more about the pandemic situation.
Take this with a grain of salt honestly but I think I was like halfway through this book before I realized I wasn't really in the mood for this and therefore not having a great time. Pretty fun I think maybe a higher rating for me if I had been in the mood for a murder mystery.
Very cute. Tame but sweet romance. Sometimes frustrating characters. Fun to read a romance that took place in India. Pretty standard fluffy romance. Nothing revolutionary. Occasionally cringey writing especially toward the end IMO.

I can't say I've ever read a dystopian Sci fi murder mystery before. I do think the pacing was really good and I'm a real suckered for a dystopian Sci fi. I love the idea of creating a new world with better humans but truthfully i think people will always eventually turn cruel it may just take time I distrusted everyone and everything which is a good murder mystery IMO. this was my first book from Stuart Turton but now I'm excited to read more.

I think I really liked the start and end of this one but kept losing interest in the middle. Old money is always cruel.

I could have sworn it was carbon monoxide poisoning the whole time but way to prove me wrong I guess lol. I love zoje stage's writing and this one was spooky and weird and unsettling in all the ways I like.
Honestly probably learned more about religion from this silly little satirical book than any weekend I'd ever spent forced into church as a kid/teen
I'll tell you the absolute last thing I want to exist in the space of any book I read and it's an incel character. ESPECIALLY in a romance. Get out of here. Unfortunately I didn't like ANY of the men in this book except maybe Walter so RIP to my interest in this.
