I just really loved this one. Not too much to say about it except it was so, so sweet. Boy do I understand every decision Cameron makes and I always knew he'd be alright in the end. Ethan is a perfect character and so is Tova. No notes.

What a sweet horror story with just the coolest spooky small town vibes.
My favorite parts of this book are the dynamics with the friends and the quest they end up on.
The main issue I have is that after the 4000th mention of the Nothing I started to just lose interest. It took me longer to get through the book than it should have. I love an exploration of what happens after we die but I just think the anxiety of the main character became too repetitive.
Overall pretty cute though. Very sweet ending.

This was my first Karin slaughter book and will not be my last. Will Trent is very lovable, at least in this first one. The whole book makes you wanna reform the criminal justice system.

This is a cute one! Lots of romance tropes but none in a frustrating way. The two characters are such loveable go getters. I really was rooting for every character throughout the book, except maybe the billionaire CEOs. Nothing that makes it exceptionally stand out among cutesy romances but not in a bad way. Just a perfect book to pick up to feel good things. Very quick read.

I just don't know. I think the concept is pretty cool but the dialogue is wildly stilted which makes the characters feel so odd to me. Genuinely felt like it could have maybe been a translation issue. Good idea of a story, didn't love the execution.

As a child of the 90s I loved the idea of this book but the execution fell a little flat for me. Good premise but overall a story that had trouble grabbing me. I think that part of it was the almost too casual writing style. Which is OK sometimes but sort of off-putting after awhile. Pretty cute but not that interesting.

I've never wanted two people to be together more than I want Cal and Kathleen to finally be together forever. This book was Smash + middle aged former pop stars + a lovely enemies to lovers romance. I give this book 4,000 heart eye emojis. Unmissable if you're a fan of musicals and romances.
