A comment on the genre of this
this is romance adjacent. This is very contemporary fiction with a romance sub plot

This was very much what I love in a book. Time spent exploring family relationships and a bit of celebrity gossip and a bit of two hot people kissing. All the stuff I like but kind of repetitive by the end unfortunately.

This read as YA for some reason. If i missed that it is billed as that my bad, but YA in a way that made it kind of worse. This was somehow not very spooky, not very exhilarating and generally kind of annoying.

This is a ten star read IMO. I KNEW I'd like it based on who had recommended it so I picked it up because I needed a guaranteed hit. Genuinely though I don't think they were effusive enough.

One of the best times I've had with a book in a long time. Laugh out loud funny with more heart than I could have ever expected.

+1 star for the email banter
-1 star for the line "Somehow the sound of him swallowing is hyper-masculine"

Overall just OK. I didn't have a bad time but I didn't have an incredible time. I found the teasing to be almost insufferable at times. But all in all not the worst time I've ever had with a romance.

Oops came back to add I did entirely have to shove the fact that hes a billionaire to the side the whole book. I can't enjoy a book that sells me on the merits of the ruling class no matter how nice they seem.

Overly relatable content unfortunately. Beautiful thoughts on friendship. "Nothing Will Change" genuinely walloped me in a way I couldn't have expected (I'm talking quiet sobs as I reflect on my own lifelong friendships).

Love the laid out exact description of how footage gets doctored. Suzanne Collins always here to remind us at an extremely pertinent time that the word put out by the oppressors is not to be trusted.

Another solid entry into the world of the hunger games.

You'll never get less than 5 stars out of me. I'm too bonded and I've read it too many times. Lemme give Erin a little forehead kiss for this. I'd give it 500 stars if I could.

Pretty fun premise. Good set up for future stories and shenanigans. Art style felt pretty classic comic book which I personally love. Visually there's a lot to look at especially in any scene where you get a lot of strings.

Sweet and funny and hopeful and everything good in this world. It's not unusual for me to fall in love with a little slice of life story that is also kind of silly but this was was particularly lovely. A 90 year old looking for love with his 23 year old bestie. No notes. (Except for time travel to be real just for Eddie and Bridie)
