I too am constantly maladaptive dreaming mumu. 

Very strange. I can't tell how I feel about it. I think I like it ish? Translations are tricky. 

I think that while I loved Claire and Delilah in the end I found the beef with Delilah and Astrid genuinely tiresome. Iris is RUDE (classicly written as a "brash" red head). And overall I think the love story got a little lost in the weeds of the side characters. Cute overall but my general thoughts are...just fine.

I don't think this book is perfect. And I know I'm supposed to

hate Ayoola but i hate her so much that at times i felt myself just tired of hearing about her

. Anyway it was still pretty intriguing and VERY fast. 

Every now and then I get a book that feels genuinely perfect to me and this is one of them. I personally love an exploration of human nature set in a dystopian future. I love how bits and pieces of the stories were woven together. This is perfect and strange and sad/hopeful. Big recommend. 

Lovely complex characters with a complex relationship. Decadent descriptions. I am at the end of the day a lady who can't resist 400 pages of hot bisexuals eating and drinking their way through Europe. I just loved it.

Loved the setting, loved the characters (flaws and all), loved the story. Say what you will but I'm a genuine sucker for a surfing book. And then a romance and a plot of ecological preservation that's a winner for me.

Pretty good, fast read. Every part of the story is a bummer. I do kinda like the ambiguous ending though.

This book gets one whole additional star for being an appropriate length. The amount of steaming garbage I've read that was like 400+ pages for absolutely no reason... 
This was bad obviously and is just lightly disguised avatar porn starring a "not like other girls" girl but it was extremely short and for that it has my thanks.

This is of course my opinion but I think this book felt like a practice in listing a haunted house that had all the worst things you could think of and that was mostly it. 

I know the point is power in love and relationships but I found the characters didn't have much personality outside of their trauma.

 I didn't hate it for sure but I'd say if the idea of an eerie never ending maze is the element you like House of Leaves does that better and if the relationships of adults with trauma coming back together after years apart in an unsettling setting is what you enjoyed Mister Magic does THAT better. 

Anyway just fine but if you love a series of nightmare haunted house rooms being described at you on a loop you'll love it. 

I feel like I had a lot of mixed thoughts and feelings on this one. For some context I read Clear and LOVED it. And not that I was expecting this book to feel exactly the same but I think the writing is a little less lyrical than in Clear. More extremely hard to stomach moments but overall well written and generally thoughtful.
