Harriet (AKA Harry) Reed, a rising literary star, is newly engaged to Edward Holbeck, the heir of an extremely powerful family. Estranged from his family, the news of their upcoming nuptials has the Holbecks itching to get Edward back in their lives. Harry is quickly drawn into their lavish world and is quick to embrace Ed’s perfectly welcoming relatives. That is, until Ed’s father hands her a tape of a book he’s been working on. When she presses play, it’s not anything she ever expected. It’s a confession to a gruesome crime. A murder. And now the game is in motion. Is this a test of loyalty? Or something much darker? Hold on to your seats! You’re in for a wild ride with this one.

If you’re a fan of Veronica Mars (like me!) then you’ll LOVE this book! *Note: if you have not seen the show or the movie, you may be a little lost at points*
Alright Marshmallows (show reference, you’re welcome), this book takes place right where the movie leaves off. Veronica is back in Neptune, dusting off her Private Investigator License at her dads PI office after leaving her law degree behind. It’s now spring break, and college students have descended on Neptune turning the beaches and boardwalks into a week long rave. When a girl disappears from a party, Veronica is called in to investigate. But this is not a simple missing persons case. The house the girl vanished from belongs to a man with ties so some serious criminal activity. As the case evolves, it hits closer to home than Veronica ever imagines.
I have been a huge Veronica Mars fan for years. I loved this book and listened to it on Audible narrated by Veronica Mars herself, Kristen Bell. Kristen really brought the story to life and I felt like I was back watching the show as I listened. Great addition to the series!
And if you like this one, make sure to check out the second (and unfortunately) last book in this mini series Mr. Kiss and Tell!

I’m not sure about anyone else, but when it comes to dieting and losing weight I tend to find myself saying “I’ll Start Again Monday”. It’s an endless cycle that I find myself repeating week after week after week. This book has really helped open my eyes and show me that not only am I not alone in this, but that there’s a better way to approach my Weight-loss journey. I loved Lysa’s take on it and I really related to the things she went through. Definitely recommend!

Life is definitely looking up for Lark. An up and coming board-game designer, she’s developing the career she’s always dreamed of and her handsome investor is icing on the cake. A whirlwind romance with the kind and passionate Trip, it’s almost too good to be true.
Jessica is a cautious girl, but who could resist Jonathan? The Ted-talking visionary has exciting plans for his medical startup and wants Jessica on his team. Partners at the office and at home, what could go wrong?
Holly has a comfortable life with her husband of 20 years and father to their 3 beautiful children. She has a happy life but doesn’t want to look too close at the cracks.
Lark, Jessica, and Holly are three perfect strangers. They have so much in common. Their one and only is one and the same. The ever so charming Mr. Wright and his ever mounting lies are about to catch up with him.
I was captured from page one and loved every minute of it. It was one of those books that kept me on my toes and questioning what was really going on at every turn. I could not put it down!

I loved this sweet love story! It was witty, funny, and very heartwarming. Definitely gave me some Hallmark vibes (which I adore). Izzy is a small town girl with a love of books. But she doesn’t have much of a love life outside the cozy pages of her favorite novel. Enter in her very pregnant, slightly misguided, match-making cousin who signs Izzy up for an online dating site. And surprisingly enough, she meets who Mr. Right. The only problem? He lives an ocean away. On top of that, she meets a very nice author and professor IRL. Do you feel the Rom-Com movie in the making? Izzy is left with the question so many of us find ourselves asking. Do you play it safe and make the seemingly logical choice? Or take a leap of faith and risk your heart for chance of true love?
