I’m really torn - surprise pregnancy trope, HEAVY miscommunication, second chance romance.

Only one of those I actually like and I will give it a hint that it’s not the first two…

I wanted to love this one but the miscommunication really was what knocked it from a 4 to a 3.
I enjoyed the story for its Happy Ever After, but it was just okay to me.

I want to try another book by this author because I think I could have loved it if the tropes were different.

Huge thank you to Forever and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I gotta admit that I struggled with this book so much. I didn’t love the narration and the whole lack of chemistry kept making me want to DNF the book.

I hated the relationship between Andi & Jace because I felt like it was too abrupt & too quick. Too instalove that had no depth & ability to grow before they started having conflict.

Thank you for NetGalley and W.W.Crown for this ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I’ve enjoyed other books by this author but this was not a win for me.

Noelle has learned a secret about her late Gram and now she's on a road trip adventure to learn the story of her lost love. Along the way, is her high school nemesis, Theo, and his grandfather, Paul - who also happens to be her Gram's lost love.

During the road trip, she expects to learn her Gram's story but doesn't expect to find herself again, a new career path, and the love of her life.

I can't express how much I loved this book from debut author, Jessica Joyce. The characters were funny, relatable, emotional. They had visible growth & development through the story. Jessica Joyce's writing made me feel like I was there, experiencing the adventure with them. And the ending? I was bawling, wrecked, I had to literally compose myself in order to finish reading. She wrote the experience of grief so beautifully that it was perfection.

One book and she's an auto-buy author for me and I can't wait to read more from her.

HUGE thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Sharon Peterson’s The Do-Over was my first Netgalley requested book & first approval. So I was SO excited to see a second book from her and this one did not disappoint.

Mae grew up with a dad who continually let her down. She’s had a tough life and it’s continued into adulthood when she’s been working two jobs to support her mom after a stroke & her teenage sister.

In enters Chris - a famous football player with never ending pick up lines and a heart of gold. He needs Mae to help his reputation after a video is leaked (and completely taken out of context) and she needs money. So they decide to start fake dating, fake engagement, but end up developing very real feelings.

I loved the relationship between Chris & Mae, even if the chemistry could have been a touch stronger. I felt it more with Chris than I did with Mae but I loved how the whole story played out.

Also - I want a book boyfriend like Chris. And I want him to write a book of pickup lines - the text conversations between Mae & Chris is gold.

Huge thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

4.5 stars - I REALLY enjoyed the book BUTTTTTTTTTTT I felt the ending was a little lackluster for all the excitement and twists that were part of the story.

Is it bad that I was kind of hoping for a crash in the end?

Tayla is convinced that when a very high profile soulmate matching company is wrong when she is matched as being a soulmate with her ex from 6 years ago. They had a complicated history that ended when he broke up with her the night that he was supposed to propose.

Simon is convinced that he is going to make Tayla fall back in love with him, because he hasn’t stopped thinking about her in the past 6 years.

I love second chance romances but sometimes I struggle with them when miscommunication is a major trope. However, I felt like Miss Matched touched on the aspect of miscommunication in relationships really well.

Overall, a good emotional story between the characters without any unnecessary fluff. The pacing of the story was perfect and I really felt the chemistry between the characters.

Thank you NetGalley and Wattpad Webtoon for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
