Very tropey YA, and a lesser cousin to the Hunger Games series, but still a fun series if you don't take it too seriously. If you go in looking for flaws you will find a lot of them, but if you let yourself enjoy the characters, action, and superpowers, there's a good time to be had.

A fun YA read, Hunger Games meets X-men. Not as good as the former, but enjoyable nonetheless. Not particularly unique but don't let negative reviews put you off if you generally like YA fantasy, it's a solid enough example of the genre and not every series needs to be groundbreaking to be worth reading.
