another book i really anticipated loving but it just wasn’t holding my attention :/ i think the POVs changed too quickly for me and i wasn’t feeling invested in any character aside from lin - but even then i just wasn’t interested enough to keep reading.
kind of disappointed but i won’t put all the blame on the book because i HAVE lacked a lot of patience this year

liked this a lot but was equally as frustrated by it. enjoyed all the aspects of lore and “world building” but waaay too many loose ends for me

all i’m ever doing is finding ways to talk about this book and read quotes from it

aside from this feeling incredibly unrealistic (having a success rate of 100% when hooking up with random european strangers from all different countries whilst also never befalling any of the woes of traveling abroad fits better as an early 2000s movie) these two seem just insufferable to imagine as my cohorts on a three week bus tour.

but like? points for nb rep

netflix original that, despite many undecided reviews, finds it way into your heart by being relatable and fun (if not a little predictable)

as a chronically anxious person and former 8 year old, this absolutely struck a nerve

stephen king is good but also sucks (you know, sucks, like a vampire? you get it right??)

this is painful because i want to love this book but i am so incredibly uninterested in the MCs. i’ll probably give it some time and try again but for now i couldn’t even get to 100 pages 😭
