This book is a necessary read for those who love mysteries/thrillers. The plot of this story is told in reverse after the author sets up the premise of the story. This book kept me thinking and captivated along the way. I was excited to get to the end to see how everything tied together.

Nic is called home by her brother to work on selling the house of her father who was put into a nursing home. Not only does Nic have to deal with family issues but with the disappearance of a childhood friend 10 years ago and the current disappearance of the girlfriend of her former love.

This book will keep you guessing "who done it" till the very end.

This was an excellent book about the power of pets to provide comfort during difficult times. George (dog) and his human companion both needed each other during a difficult time in each of their lives. The love that developed between the two of them allowed for a mutual trust in each other. Great read for anyone who loves animals.
