Thank you to Courtney Psak and Netgalley for an ARC of Thirty Days to Thirty.
This was a quick and enjoyable read! I think this would definitely be a good beach read for 2016.
Jill is facing a life crisis after the loss of her long time boyfriend and the loss of her job as a lawyer. Due to this crisis, Jill is faced with moving back home to her parent's house. In cleaning out her old room, Jill finds a "bucket" list made at the age of 18 of things she wanted to complete prior to the age of 30. Jill is rapidly approaching the age of 30. With the help of her best friend, her first love, and her parents, Jill tackles the tasks to not only complete the list but to find herself and her place in the world along the way.

Thank you to Victoria Stilwell and Netgalley for providing me an ARC of The Secret Language of Dogs: Unlocking the Canine Mind for a Happier Pet.
I fully enjoyed reading this book. As a new "mother" of two puppies, I was fascinated in research on dog personalities and action. I definitely learned some things and hope to introduce them in my dog training.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. Terry McMillan is one of my favorite authors. I love her quirky characters. I never want Terry's books to end. This one was an exceptional read. I recommend it highly.
This was an excellent read for me as I am currently 40. This books deals with the idea of being able to go back in time and make different decisions in your life. The three characters in this book are about to turn fifty but realize that the year they turned 40 was the catalyst for how their lives ended up. I think many readers will really enjoy this. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC
“The only thing splats of your blood will do is confirm you are one sick bitch to wind up at a place like this.”
In the beginning chapter of Throw Away Girls, you get a sense this will not be a usual thriller. In Throw Away Girls, Jaycee Wilder is an investigative reporter looking to get involved in more in depth stories to further her career. A story about women being murdered in sex clubs grabs her attention and quickly becomes an obsessive quest to locate the killer, despite the risks. Thrown together with Barton, a detective who recently transferred from Boston, they work to catch a sadistic killer who has a message to send about these Throw Away Girls.
I gave this book 3 out of 5 stars. The premise was intriguing as a fan of thrillers. I was a fan of the characters of Jaycee Wilder and Barton as they both had troubled lives and were empathetic to the victims of these crimes.
For a debut novel, this was a good start to a new series. The writing, at times, appeared underdeveloped but still delivered an interesting novel. It will be interesting to see if the author can further develop the characters in future books. The ending of the book was surprising but not suspenseful enough to not want to read ahead to find out who the killer was about 60% into the book.
Overall, a good start to this new author.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in return for my honest review.

This was an excellent book. It kept me guessing till the end, which I love! Jeanie, a troubled soul due to her past, gets married and tries to adapt blending her child and her husband's children into one family. What ensues is not a fairy tale ending!
