I stayed up 24 hours straight to read these two books and I was not disappointed. Though the ending felt a little rushed in this book, I liked it. It evoked a lot of emotions I don’t normally feel when reading. I found myself painfully forgiving Lara but still justifiably angry with her actions. Having both point of views on what happened will do that. But I enjoyed every word of this book! Can’t wait for Keris and Zarrah story!

I mean it was sexy in a toxic way I guess. It was hard to see any redeeming qualities in the Horsemen. It was kind of just “sorry” and then move on from the crap they threw at Rika? However, awkwardness aside, chapter 25 was 10/10 a spiritual experience.

Cute book. It’s character driven and I just love Luella and Eldas. Very cute romance book and I love that Luella is a strong woman and knows it.

This book was very fun and I think it did a great job depicting a survivor of domestic abuse and their journey afterwards. I like that Jake wasn’t some hero and Naya a damsel. She stood up for herself and was able to finally have closure from that relationship. I like that Jake didn’t have like the perfect response after she told him about Davis I think a lot of men will be supportive but won’t be perfect and have to do research to help their partners in any way they can just like Jake did. I enjoyed this story a lot. It was fun and cute and amazing.

Absolutely hate that she was 16 and he was like 500 years old. I had to pretend she turned 18 instead just to take out the creep factor of their relationship. You know, the grooming. It made the rest of the book tolerable. Was it good? No but it was entertaining. Not only that, but the only black character in the book, Temper, is so cringe. Like stereotypical black woman cringe.

Great, cute, fun romantic comedy-esque book. I love Adam and Olive. I nearly cried at the clear representation of demisexuality and felt validated. I did wish that maybe Olive had a previous crush on Adam or had fake dated a little longer to develop the “love” feelings. Overall, an entertaining, well-written book with great women in STEM representation.

Not as sophisticated as Cruel Prince and reminiscent of Hunger Games, but an interesting story and good start to a series. I try not to judge the first book of a series too harshly as they’re often slow to set the scene for the world building and the rest of the series, and this one was entertaining and interesting enough to make me want to get the next book. I love that romance is barely a subplot in this book and that it focuses more on politics. Very interested in what comes next for Mare.

Rushed romance to a cringey love interest, clumsy writing, and minimal plot development. The premise is interesting but is very poorly developed and executed.

An absolute cute romance book with great spicy scenes that avoided using the cringey words we all dread to describe their genitals. I loved the relationship between Olive and Jason, every girl’s dream is to end up with that cute boy-next-door they crushed on as children. Loved the book and will be reading To Hate Adam Connor!
