Sickenly Adorable

No spice so if you’re here for that, it will not come (literally), but it is adorable and lovely. If only every man were this in love.

Absolutely as cute as the first book of the series! I cannot wait to read about Quan in the next book. Khai and My were EVERYTHING and cute as hell. Cheesy and entertaining with a splash of spice.

I waited for Quan’s story and this exceeded my expectations. At first, the switch to first person threw me, but after reading the author’s note about the book, it all made sense and gave the book even more meaning. This book was incredible and was more than just love and sex. Way more. It talked about a lot of intense things and what it’s like to get a diagnosis later in life that changes so much for someone as well as dealing with being a caregiver to a loved one and the challenges that come with it (something that isn’t often talked about). I related so much with Anna in more ways than one and really appreciate this book for existing. I love Quan and Anna’s relationship so much, I’m so glad there was a conversation about the aftermath of cancer had on a man, especially one as sexually positive as Quan.

This is the first horror book (but not the first thriller/mystery) I’ve read. At first I nearly lost interest when the creature was described within the first chapter as I’m often more scared by not knowing what the creature looked like. The entire time I was on the fence about whether it was a supernatural beast or a man but as it went on that this creature had a high level of intelligence that it somehow had to be like a Ghostface-level man. I hated Todd and was, in a sick way, glad he died. I also grew increasingly suspicious of Decker when Clara showed up with all the missing persons cases when he’s the one who assigns them and he also came up with an outrageous explanation for Eileen’s disappearance. Despite its mild predictability, Todd, and the slightly unsatisfying ending, the book did have me go “WTF” and jump at sudden noises in my house.

I’m not even sure what I read but it was dope as hell. Shouldn’t have faded to black during the foursome though. I really wanna know how that works physically.

Decent romance

Not a huge fan of Rowan but love Zahra. It seems like Zahra is the one constantly being hurt and Rowan gets more out of the relationship than her. Might read the next books.

Decent

Spice was nice but lacking in quantity and description. The book was heavily tension fuelled and I expected more out of the sex scenes.

This was the absolute sweetest. A near perfect contemporary romance novel. Jack and Rose are cute and the perfect sunshine/grump trope. This is the first book I’ve read since Vampire Academy a decade ago where the female protagonist has my name so that already means this books gets major brownie points. This book is the slowest of burns for a contemporary romance, but it is sweet. Ella Maise does it again with the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Jack’s no Adam Connor when it comes to dirty talk, but the sex scenes (though not many) are written very well.

Ella does it again

Clearly Ella Maise was meant to write cute, hot, funny romance novels. I read To Love Jason Thorne, To Hate Adam Connor, Marriage for One, and now The Hardest Fall and she didn’t disappoint once. Dylan and Zoe are cute and wholesome and the best kind of cheesy. The sex scenes are *chef’s kiss*. Very good would recommend and it as recommending while reading!

I’m low key embarrassed that I read this whole thing. It was ridiculously cute, but I hated the massive age difference especially post-TV All Too Well.
