Why the Innocent Plead Guilty and the Guilty Go Free: And Other Paradoxes of Our Broken Legal System
Should be required reading in American Government classes.
Picked this up in Kerry on vacation because it was a local author and the story seemed fun, although I don't typically read romance. It was a cute story, and Kerry was definitely featured heavily, which I was happy about.
Although marketed as a love triangle, it hardly is one, as a relationship with one of the men never developed, let alone love! I also was incredibly disappointed in the stalker storyline being abruptly dropped. It felt like it was left in for PSA reasons but the bulk of it was edited out to preserve the happy ending.
I also found the protagonist unrealistically naive--how she handles unprotected sex did not seem realistic for a strong and independent 30-year-old woman. I was also disappointed to learn that the author is a sexual health worker yet reinforced the popular misconception that the morning after pill is functionally the same as an abortion.
