Needs to be read with an adult, so they can explain Ms. Honey was not in fact a "slave" and have a good discussion about trauma and how that leads to otherwise illogical decision-making.

It's basically the same as the movie, but with a sprinkle of racism. Somehow it's inconceivable to our characters that a doctor in Peru would speak English well (written in 2000 mind you!), and they're relieved he's not too dark-skinned.
