I loved this book much more than I thought I would and decided to relisten! Realized I never gave a review so here I am. I adored Henry and Alex as a couple but I also liked them both individually and loved how their relationship developed. Also loved seeing the idea of a woman as president represented which is so crazy that this book was written in the setting of 2020 and comparing it to todays political climate (‘: I also liked that the book focused on their goals as people and the campaigning rather than just the romance. Truly a perfect mix!
Also omg these boys have no self control when it comes to time and place it’s no wonder they got caught haha.
What an amazing end to the book too! Such a good read.

I loveee the way this author writes characters and i definitely enjoyed this book; my mistake however was reading where sleeping girls lie first which I enjoyed much more. I liked the idea of this book and how it shows racism and think that what happened at Niveus is very realistic.  Especially in environments like private schools with rich white kids. I think the only thing i didn’t like was the plot twist and big reveal; it fell flat for me. I really liked Chiamaka and her will to never give up no matter how many messed up things happened
I also didn’t like that literally EVERYONE was in on it at the school and the reporter; I wish the teacher didn’t end up being bad solely because I wish Devon could have one adult on his side oml this poor boy has gone through it.

A perfect finish to this duology. I loved that we got more from other characters like Attie and Forest but I feel like it was missing action in a lot of Iris’s portion. I just wanted more Roman and Iris!
I also really enjoyed revisiting the original idea of writing to a mystery person on the Alouettes but flipped so now Iris knows Roman but Roman doesn’t know Iris. But oh my god I was stressed when Roman didn’t remember and was stuck with Dacre. Learning more about the underworld, Dacre and the myths surrounding him was so fun; truly haven’t read anything like this. Iris is a baddie, girl killed not one but two powerful dudes not to mention one was a god?!! Her friends and family moved past that real fast, but I am glad they get to be happy. By the end of this book I was destroyed so many big scary and sad things happened. Forest’s letter (‘: ow.
The prose were as beautiful as ever and the characters were written so well i can’t complain. I love them all!

I love a romance book with a little bit more to offer and this one hit all the good points! Normal life with a touch of magic, the premise of this book was so fun. I enjoyed seeing growth in Clementine and all of her interactions with Iwon. I loved each character individually and all their fun quirks. It was so interesting to think about where they were in time and when they may have come in contact with each other.
I feel like grief and loss were portrayed so well in this book and it hits harder after hearing the authors note at the end about her losing her grandpa to suicide as well. I am so happy they got a good ending and didn’t end up like Clementines aunt and vera.

Super sweet and sooo funny. I don’t think i’ve listened to a better british audio book, the way that Luc talks is hilarious. I actually really enjoyed Luc as a character even with his destructiveness, bad decision making and mental health issues. I liked seeing him attempt to get better for Oliver. Also Alex as a character had me dying and so did Luc’s mom.
The only thing I didn’t totally love was Oliver having a freak out after the bacon sandwich’s and lovey night… it felt odd because it seemed like Luc did a good job and they were in a good place. I would have been happy if they decided to actually date then.
Overall really enjoyable.

I lovedddd the concept of this book and really enjoyed all characters (even the not so good people ones). This author does an amazing job of characterizing and making it easy to visualize a character; the narrator also did an amazing job embodying each one. This was both entertaining and had all the dark and realistic elements to keep me hooked. Basil was so much fun and Sade was such a good MC, I loved how her mind worked. Will be reading more by this author!

This was super unique and a very fun read! I liked that romance was a side plot to overcoming what people think of you/ coming into yourself. I also thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the fun moments between the main characters.

This book was SO funny. I found myself laughing a lot which is surprising considering it’s a dark romance. I really enjoyed the first half of the book but didn’t care much for the mafia stuff and actual plot after that. Listening was definitely the way to go, both narrators were awesome but i especially loved the MMC. Overall a fun spicy read.
The “I’m batman” and “i’ve gone blind” scenes were so funny and entertaining, it got me looking into more books read by this narrator.

I had high hopes for this book because i like riley sager books but i was a bit disappointed. The main character annoyed me A LOT and she had so many opportunities that she didn’t take. I felt frustrated and like she could’ve been smarter. From the start though…
who gets into the car with a stranger who’s a big man at 9pm for a late night drive after their best friend just got murdered.
The twist that the killer was her boyfriend was obvious given that they made Josh/Jake too obvious of a choice. I did like the happy ending at least.
