Wow! I love a book that actually shows flaws in a main character and doesn’t make it annoying. Seeing Keera struggle again after everything she’s been through shows that it’s not easy to overcome addiction which is extremely realistic. I also liked that she had to work things out with herself first. There were a lot of rough parts in this book that almost had me tearing up. I can’t remember half of what I wanted to say other than … Killian is Riven?! Riven is Killian!!??!?? Well of course you wouldn’t be too upset that your girl kissed your brother cause your brother was YOU. That’s wild to me, it felt like the author couldn’t decide who she wanted Keera to be with so she was like wait they’re the same lol. Also weird that Killian has an accent and Riven doesn’t. I am glad that it made all the parts where Riven should have been there but Killian was instead make sense. These people and their lies omg.

The development in this book was so much better than the first! Even with expected plot twists I was still hooked and even teared up at some parts. I enjoyed Keera’s development the most and also her interactions with everyone. It felt like she had more interactions with everyone other than Riven though and I was worried for a hot minute that she would get with Killian… may still happen cause it really does seem like he likes her but I don’t know. I was feeling the strong connection between Keera and Riven in book one but for some reason it fell a bit flat to me in the second even tho they’re meant to be together. I still like them together I was just hoping for more. . I am excited to see where the next book takes us.

This is a good start to this series and i feel like it can only get better from here. I love a strong FMC and I also love the representation (queer and poc) as well as the fact that she’s not super young. I enjoy the complexity of her character and also Riven’s. Some parts of the book were slow and boring but the parts that weren’t were very good so i’ll let it slide. Also holy tropes, so so so many shoved into one book. I can’t wait for more so I’m starting the next book right away!

This book was very Hallmark, fluffy, and sweet. It was a super fast read and had a satisfying ending. I liked both the characters but did not care for the male voice actor. Dov was also kind of annoying when it came to the writing bits even though Abi was far more qualified but I understand why. Very good if you’re looking for a quick wholesome read.

I loved the concept of this book and was sucked in immediately. I feel like YA horror isn’t a genre I explore because it tends to be more spooky and less scary to me but this was done so well. I enjoyed the representation, the characters and the plot line. My favorite part was all the crew members getting what they deserve and being scared out of their mind. Some of the twists were wild like Watson being Rueben’s aunt??? Kind of a wild ride there. I also guessed from the start that Alon was “related” to the god in some way. The creepy cave parts did not disappoint; I think this would be a great movie. Currently reading a lot from this author and think a lot of their books are good! Can’t wait to find more.

This was such a nice finish to this series. And as sad as I am with Tea dying and sacramental herself, it felt realistic and was kind of nice because most authors always write a happy ending. The couples and everything that happened really made this book. I also loved the representation! I am satisfied knowing what happened and didn’t expect many of the twists.

Oh this one had some kick to it! I loved all the action in this book as opposed to the first. It gave almost all the answers we needed in the first book which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also loved the romance in this book. I don’t have a lot bad to say but it was definitely a rollercoaster. I am so happy Tea and Kalen get together and that Fox doesn’t have to give up his love for Inessa. I also love that they don’t make Tea out to be innocent despite the fact that she claims what she’s doing must be done; she is doing what needs to be done but does whatever it takes to do it, including bad things like killing. Watching her grow into her power is super fun too. I am so excited for the next one.

I know there’s a lot of mixed reviews about this book but I really enjoyed; aside from some of the confusing aspects. I think the writing is beautiful and i love the diversity in the characters and descriptions of all the clothing and different nations. I think some areas are a bit confusing but it’s clear that the answers not given in this book will most likely be given in the next… hence the trilogy. I think the POV transition could’ve been better but it was still evident who was speaking once they told you and they gave a clear timeline by saying Tea’s age. I was hooked by this book and the interesting magic system. The idea of Fox is super cool and I think the concept of a familiar in that form is unique. I do wish we got more on different types of Asha because it felt like there’s dark Asha and then all the rest… and all the rest can do whatever they want power wise it just depends on their skill and affinity for magic? I am not sure on that but I kind of wish it was more broken up and easier to understand. Other than these points I think this was a fun read!

This book was much better than the second and i’m glad I didn’t dnf the series entirely; i simply hate not knowing what happens next. The writing was still a bit juvenile and there were more similarities to TOG and ACOTAR. However, there was also a good amount that was different. I really need Faythe to get past her wallowing and feelings of inferiority because she’s being so annoying… like you know you’re powerful and you clearly have people that need you SHUT UP. I am interested to see how Zaiana develops because it’s kinda clear she’s gonna go against her people in some way, she actually has a conscience soooo. Also can’t wait to see how different Faythe is! . I may or may not read the rest since they are not free on audible right now.

This book was beautifully written and I simply could find no faults with it. The idea in itself is so unique and written in a way that makes imagining the House and its many qualities easy to do; yet I would love to see an actual depiction because there’s just so much going on. I loved Piranesi’s character and how fun it was to read through his journals. I also just loved how each character was depicted and think that Clarke did an amazing job of this. While the ending what kind of predictable, I also think it was perfect and well done. While I do think this was the perfect length for a story like this, U am curious about the other bodies in the House… how did a young child get in there? I wonder if she got in on her own or was kidnapped as well. There are so many halls too that I am curious if there actually are more people in there than we think. I am definitely going to be thinking about this for a while!
