I enjoyed this book much more than I expected. It was a very unique fantasy world, and I liked it enough that I plan to read the sequels. Fantasy isn't normally my genre, so it was fun to find one I enjoyed that much. The world-building was cool, but I did feel that the plot moved a bit slowly at times. I feel like this first book was really setting up the sequels. I guess I will see!
This was my favorite of the series. Honestly, it's probably because I am a sucker for Beauty and the Beast tales, much like the author herself.
Just finished my second read, and I still really enjoyed it. I picked up a copy at a thrift store, not realizing that I had already read it. I figured I might as well reread it. I really like that the main character is flawed and that the story doesn't end with a romance. This story wasn't about her getting the boy but finding out how to be herself and be comfortable with who that person is. I like that.
Very, very cute. I do seem to still enjoy some YA if it's written well!
I loved, loved, LOVED it. The concept was unique and well executed. I feel like I very much could have been a wayward child in this world. I can't wait to read another.
Super interesting and unique look at Nazi Germany before the world really knew what was going on.
I both love and hate Katee Robert for making me enjoy monster smut.
