Started off strong, weak ending for me. I felt like there wasn’t enough relationship building done to make me root for Lucie and Aiden. Side characters were great!

Titan’s taint, but I really enjoy this world and its mashup of contrivances. Solid 4 star read.

A promising beginning. Tons of world building, exposition and lore, as well as a boatload of names many of which you won’t need to remember (thank goodness for the search function on my Kindle).

Despite the flat characters (your standard straight-laced hero, silent steady sidekick, the wildcard, the two women one of which is closed off and angry, the other passionate and an explorer), I found myself intrigued by the factions concerned with power: the all-female leaders in the Aes Sedai with their male protectors who don’t always agree with the White Cloaks, as well as those who believe in the Queen and those who serve the Dark One. It’s not quite as straight forward as good vs. evil, and there is a lot of potential here.

I actually like the books better than the episodes I’ve seen so far (S1 eps 1-4). I bought all the ebooks from Humble Bundle, and plan to keep reading. Excited to  see where the characters end up.
