There was a long time in between books so I needed a recap.  I listened to it on audio and it’s a fun, fast paced fantasy adventure.  Naira gets involved in a love triangle of sorts as she tries to figure out where Nez went. Secrets are revealed, prophecies fulfilled, and there is a dragon.

Genre: YA Fantasy Romance

Book 2 in the Crimson Moth Duology. I enjoyed this series! This one had a little more enemies to lovers and on the run vibes than the first book. It’s set on a ship for the first half of it. The pace was fast and it’s easy to read. 
   If you enjoy witch + witch hunter books you will like it.

Ren is now part of the Brood family which she secretly hopes to destroy. 
     In book 2, you get 2 other POVs from other people who are against Theo’s family. It had a different feel than the first book which was mainly survival in the forest. This one was more palatial and secrets behind closed doors. Looking forward to the finale.

Book 3 in the Haven’s Rock series a spin off series from the Stockton series. (Need to read the first 2 books)

    A woman is found murdered on the frozen pond and all signs point to someone in their secluded Yukon community as the killer. 

This one was my favorite of the 3 in this series so far.  It was fast paced and kept you guessing all with the heightened urgency of Casey’s pregnancy coming to an end. If you like wilderness/survival thrillers with a strong FMC, you will enjoy this one. 

Genre: YA Fantasy Romance 

   Humans live in The Gap with vampires on one side and witches on the other. Both are dangerous. When a human girl is killed by witches, she enters the games to win & bring her back to life. 

This is more a vampire fantasy romance than it is a competition adventure story. The games and trials were not a big part at all and kind of confusing. Instead it’s a slow burn traveling YA romance between a girl and a vampire while she tries to save her sister. 
     I still enjoyed it though and will read the sequel.

Woodsy, folklore fantasy story. Dash of romance with a girl and an immortal. 
      A girl makes a bargain with an immortal and has to live with him for a year in the woods. 
    I liked the cottage vibe and how the story of the bargain unfolded. Really good debut! 

Genre: Mystery/ Thriller

Book 2 in the Haven Rock series which is a spin off of the Rockton series. You don’t need to read the Rockton series but I would at least read the first book to understand the characters and the setting. 
     A boy is kidnapped and the community races to find him in the Yukon wilderness. 

Solid woodsy mystery. I enjoy her writing. 

Genre: Mystery/Thriller

This is a spin off series from her Rockton series which I did not read. I didn’t feel like I was missing anything other than a little character development from the past books. You can easily read this as a standalone. 
      A murder mystery set in the Yukon. Kind of reminded me of a woodsy Will Trent. I listened to it on audio and enjoyed the pacing and plot. 

Genre: Dark Thriller

This series was an addicting ride! The covers are extremely misleading. It looks like smut but is far from it! It’s a female Dexter like thriller with a side of romance. Super short books. Perfect to binge! 

Genre: Mystery/Thriller

This is perfect for fans of Succession! Think billionaire family drama set in the early 2000s. 

There are a lot of twists and turns in this fast paced mystery. Set in a UK countryside mansion, a young heiress is murdered and her family comes together to sort out the estate & find her killer. 

The writing style is really good. The pace and timing kept me turning the pages while all the theories of what happened spiraled in my head.
