This is the conclusion to the duology. I had to read a recap since it had been so long in between books but it is easy to get back into the world. It has the same fantasy adventure feel as the first book but with an added battle based plot. I love books filled with characters that have hidden magic and different abilities.

I’ve read a bunch of her books and love how twisty they are. This one follows a woman who goes on a boat excursion while on vacation and gets marooned on a deserted island where she has to fight for her life.
It’s really fast paced and while I tried to guess how all the characters fit together I was fooled in the end.
If you enjoy Frieda McFadden books, you will enjoy this one!

Another twisty thriller where you don’t know who you can trust. It has the same characters as The Perfect Marriage so you have to read that first. Even though I was able to predict what was going to happen I still enjoyed watching it unfold. It’s not as jaw dropping as the first book but still very good.

It’s Parents’ Weekend at a California college and 5 students go missing.
This is a fast paced thriller that you can easily devour. It follows the POVs of 5 different parents & 5 different college kids. I liked how in each chapter you just got a juicy tidbit about a character leaving you wanting more. I thought it might be too college age and have college drama but it wasn’t. The author did a good job of separating the character stereotypes of college age kids from the plot to keep it suspenseful and adult.
