This was quite enjoyable and interesting, but didn't really grab me. I found the resolution of the central mystery frankly unbelievable. I did appreciate the sensitive portrayal of OCD.

This was okay, and not really much more. The backstory was interesting, but not much really happens in the main plot and I didn't warm to any of the characters.

A wonderful mystery with echoes of the Golden Age of detective fiction in some ways, but in others very up to date. I enjoyed the alternating points of view, the different roles the three Dahlias played in the investigation, and their growing relationship and understanding of each other.

I hate read this, and would have DNF's it if not for a challenge that I needed to finish it for. The story was basically okay, but so slow. And the objectification of women and misogyny throughout the book was infuriating.

Short, beautiful and bittersweet. A heartbreaking look at how dementia affects not just one person, but his family as well. All of them trying so hard to hold on to who he is.

I liked this book, but not as much as I wanted to. CS Lewis and his brother are sympathetically portrayed, and this is a clever way of telling episodes from Lewis's life story as told to a young student and passed on to her younger brother, who is dying.

Based on the true story of a Somali man unjustly hanged for murder in Cardiff in the 1950s. Atmosheric, with well-portrayed - not always likeable - characters.

An enchanting children's book with beautiful illustrations combining environmental concern with a touch of magical realism.

This took me a long time to get through. The subject matter is challenging and the basic injustice at the heart of the book infuriating. Atmospheric and haunting with realistic characters.

A great antidote to The Stranger Beside Me because the author shows no sympathy at all for the killer, a thinly-disguised Ted Bundy. This book cenres the victims rather than the killer. Compelling and absorbing.
