This was quite enjoyable and interesting, but didn't really grab me.

I found the resolution of the central mystery frankly unbelievable.

This was okay, and not really much more. The backstory was interesting, but not much really happens in the main plot and I didn't warm to any of the characters.

A wonderful mystery with echoes of the Golden Age of detective fiction in some ways, but in others very up to date. I enjoyed the alternating points of view, the different roles the three Dahlias played in the investigation, and their growing relationship and understanding of each other.

I liked this book, but not as much as I wanted to. CS Lewis and his brother are sympathetically portrayed, and this is a clever way of telling episodes from Lewis's life story as told to a young student and passed on to her younger brother, who is dying.

A great antidote to The Stranger Beside Me because the author shows no sympathy at all for the killer, a thinly-disguised Ted Bundy. This book cenres the victims rather than the killer. Compelling and absorbing.
