So many interesting characters and stories. I learnt things I never knew about, and felt for every one of the characters. Intricately plotted, with the stories intersecting and coming together at the end.

Another great outing for the Three Dahlias/ Maybe not as immediate as the previous stories, as they're investigating a cold case. But still intriguing. I love seeing how their different personalities and experiences work together, and how they look out for each other.

Beautiful, descriptive and sad. How identity and race and generational trauma have real and devastating impacts on children and grandchildren. The characters didn't always behave well, but I had sympathy for them even so. The touch of magical realism served to emphasise how the past touches the present.

Quite interesting, with some fascinating, and slightly scary, ideas.

Interesting story, although I would have liked to see more of Jane Austen. Felt a bit slow-moving at times.

Nice to have a view of magical policing in another country, and I appreciated the very different approach from that of Thomas Nightingale and Peter Grant. Tobias Winter is likeable, and has his own distinctive voice and humour. Interesting story, though i don't think it's as good as the main series.

Using the frequent confusion between herself and Naomi Wolf as a springboard, Klein explores the world of conspiracy theories and online realities, touching on politics, medicine and identity. A fascinating read.

A favourite Albert Campion novel, with larger than life not quite believable characters, and a devious plot.

A marvellous book with well-rounded very human characters. The range of emotions and reactions to their situation was realistic, and the developing relationships were believable, and sometimes heart-breaking. A book that will stay with me. Definite top 10 of the year potential.
