This was a very stupid book. None of the characters were likeable. and really Noel/Leon would have been better off not found. I think it was meant to be funny, but I didn't find it so.

A bit slow to get going, but thoroughly enjoyable once it did. Zorro is mostly likeable character, and his adventures are amazing and rather fun.

A fun, if slightly unbelievable, romance.

I love these characters so much! The events are improbable and incredible, but somehow this is totally believable. They react as real people would, though I'm not sure real people would ever make some of their choices! Funny and clever, and sad in places too,

Fascinating, irreverent and slightly weird in places. I learnt "fun facts" about animals I'd heard of and others I hadn't.

Interesting and informative, but a bit dry and lacking in pace.

The protagonist of this story is very unlikeable, but I was still keen to follow her story and to find out what happened to her. Some of her choices were so bad that she (almost) deserved the bad things that happened to her. Not exactly an enjoyable read, but a book I'm glad to have read.

I've read this book numerous times and I enjoy the plot and the characters BUT...
There is so much racism and misogyny in this book, and i don't think it can all be justified by saying it was "of it's time". The racism maybe at a stretch, but the degree of misogyny here is dreadful.

i waited a long time to get hold of this book, and when I finally did, I felt it was worth the wait. A clever series of interlinked short stories centred around the impact of one book. Beautifully written sympathetic characters. I enjoyed finding the Easter eggs hidden between the stories.
