I was very wary about going into this novel just because Electra did not seem like a very likable character in the last installments. I loved the development of her character undertook in this novel and how she found her voice in all her troubles. I also liked Cecily's story and how it tied in with Electra's story. Furthermore, it was interesting to see Kenja during World War II as it is a perspective that I have not read before.

This was just not my cup of tea. I am not really a huge fan of mysteries in general and this book did just not grab my attention. I found the concept very intriguing but I found the relationship between Penny and Bo a bit weird as well as the set up of the story.

I liked the second installment in this series. However, I found it dragged a bit in the middle part of it. I really liked how Rain tried to deal with her trauma and how Wes tried everything to help her.

This is just a fun series to read or listen to in-between fantasy worlds like a pallet cleanser. However, I did not vibe with this book as much as I did with the first one but it still was enjoyable. I will definitely read the next installments, from time to time.

This book somehow just passed me by. I think its content is very important but I was just not really grip by the book.

I am definitely still undecided about my rating for this. On the one hand, I enjoyed the reading experience and was fully committed to the story but on the other hand, I was put out by all the violence and drugs within the story. I will continue with the story as it so compelling but I am to so sure about my enjoyment yet.

I loved the concept and the setting of the story. Having the character tell his own story from a later perspective is fantastic. I cannot wait to continue with the series.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I found the writing very good and easy to comprehend. However, I am not a US-citizen so a lot of the discussion about the health care or other topics that dealt with US-politics were not really interesting to me as I do not have the background knowledge for it.

I was very touched by this story and to get a glimpse into the life of Vietnamese refugees during the Vietnam War.

I really liked the second installment in the series. I loved how it broke out of the university setting a bit more and showed us more of the world. I was not as immersed in the story as I wished but that could be from the audiobook. I definitely plan on rereading the series once book three is released.
