This for me was the book that brought me into Fantasy. It was the first time that I got thrown into a Fantasy world and completely immersed myself in it.

I thought it had a really interesting concept behind it and even though I can now see the influences behind it but I still love it all my heart.

The Hobbit was my first introduction into the world of Middle-earth and I absolutely loved it. I was a huge fan of the story and how Tolkien addresses certain aspects through fantasy figures. I liked that we got to see the Dwarfs and got an explanation in their life and what the lonely mountain and Erebor mean to them.

I absolutely adored the Lord of the Ring when I read it first. I was 14 at the time and just wanted to read the most epic fantasy saga that I had heard about. I basically flew through this at the time because the story just sucked me in and I could not wait to read what will happen next. I definitely liked the parts of the books more where we follow Aragon, Legolas, and the rest of the fellowship rather than Frodo's and Sam's journey to Mordor. All in all, it is a fantastic read and I get why it was the real start of fantasy.

I read this book as a mandatory read for school and it was one of the few books that I read for school that I really liked afterward. I liked how it combines important topics such as the protection of indigenous people with the typical struggle of teenagers and had influences of Magical realism.

I loved this installment in the series and it will forever be my favorite in the series. I liked how it changed the setting completely from the Amazonas to the Himalaja and through this portrayed a completely different society. We have again the focus on very important topics while there is still a fun adventure story going on.

This is definitely my least favorite novel in the series but I still liked it. I found that it was quite confusing in some parts which took a bit away from my enjoyment. I definitely loved the ending and it redeemed quite a lot of the novel for me.

I absolutely adored this novel and I loved being back in the world of Eragon. I liked this book in some aspects more than the first book because through Roran and Eragon's perspective we get a very broad view of the world and learn new things about it. I liked the lessons that Eragon receives and that we are introduced to the Elven culture. I was not such a huge fan of Eragon's constant pining after Arya and it took a bit away from my enjoyment but overall it was a fantastic read.

For the Odysse being such a big epic, I was astonished by how easy I found it read. It definitely took some time getting used to the language but afterward it gives away to a fantastic story.

As with the Odysse I was astonished by how easily I got into the language. It was really fantastic to see the full story of the Trojan war play out and how all the glimpses I had from cultural references beforehand were brought together.
