I have a lot of conflicted feelings about this book. Mental illness and toxic relationships were the main themes but the way plot devices were “hidden” in this book annoyed me greatly and bothered me a lot until it was revealed. There were some twists that surprised me but explained the “random” facts mentioned or harped on in the book but overall it was very long for something that easily could have been 75 pages shorter and I was reading an ARC over the final published book. I would read another Sally Hepworth but I don’t know that I would call this book a thriller at all.

I don’t normally immediately finish a book and make a post but I needed to for this one. This is Liz Leiby’s debut book. It is such a sweet and relatable romance. Mara’s story is one of growth and learning to love who you are. Growing and healing from toxic relationships in the past. I devoured this book and want more. I adore everything about it and I’m so happy my friend introduced me to this book. 5 ⭐️s
