holy mother of good dialogue, this was such a 5 star read!!!!!!!!!!!
this was a smooth, subtle book, with interesting parts that could’ve been milked far longer, but the fact that it wasn’t makes me respect it even more.
this is the kinda reading that feels very alive and i’m looking forward to read the rest of the series!

this book made me very emotional. it was interesting to read almost entirely from ben's pov, and the dissonance from his perspective to what was truly going on was interesting and, in the end, kinda heartbreaking.
this series is about this fierce, intense, all-consuming and faithful love story. ben and nikolas are delightful, and the added weight to nik's backstory, the things that come back to bite him, are devastating. got me kinda pensive and everything.

the one thing that still bothers me even six books is how they just don't use lube during sex. it always throws me out of it for a bit and it's annoying to disconnect from something that otherwise is often pretty well-written. annoying af.

i wish i could articulate enough to explain how much i enjoyed reading this, the way there's so many laywers, how the mood setting is superb, how the relationship development is so satisfying, so many things!!!
why do good books have such bad covers tho this is so frustrating
