oh so leon’s pov was annoying and felt unnecessary with him swallowing up words, specially considering he didn’t really talk like that when it was him speaking??

this was pretty fun regardless, with just enough quirkiness and quite original details! the partner abuse and wrong sentencing were not expected at all, but they did give depth to everything! i really enjoyed both main characters and tbh wanted to hear more about the brother (such a good character???), but i’m happy with everyone’s happy endings regardless.

this was a solid book, i can’t even pretend anymore that my rating system is objective at all, i’ve given four stars for better written things and five to worse and it all comes down to how it made me feel afterwards. as fun and genuinely well-written this one was, it just didn’t have the thing. you know? the Thing? when you read something and it clutches at your chest and you feel all these feelings that make it exciting? yes, That Thing.

anyways, these reviews are mostly for myself by this point so anyone else is reading this, i’m sorry and i love you!

this made me very anticipate the final book in this series so much more than i did the previous ones, and it’s not even out yet

this wasn’t exactly the kind of read i was looking for, but even though i was slow to feel engaged, this book is a very encompassing read, with satisfying and distinct world building!

pretty good read

1 - this is a pretty long book and had like a few climaxes which was cool
2 - this used repetition as a plot device and i... disliked that. very much. i mean, there's only so many times you can say the same things before they lose the impact you're going for.
3 - i cried quite a bit in some parts which i did not see coming
4 - i don't find posessiviness or dumb-hero-complex entertaining, so that knocked this review down one whole star
5 - also, with better comunication this book would literally be cut down in half so...
6 - the age difference felt unnecessary and iffy, i understand the plot reasons for it but also,,, did you really need that klune? i don't think so.

very lighthearted and silly, but not in a bad way

picked this up bc the summary is just like a fanficfion fever dream and it was just what the doctor ordered.

took a turn when it reached the halfway point, but still entertaining enough, might check the next book in the series.

an alright read if you want some (very) light material as far as plot goes.

honestly Why use so much repetition just whyyyyyy!!?!?

i mean, i will end up reading all the books but would it hurt too bad to just have a smidge more joy in them???
