This love story was 10 years in the making and it was incredibly beautiful. It was beautiful because no matter what circumstances they faced, where their path in life led them, they found each other in the end. I’m not saying it was perfect, because it surely wasn’t. It was honest, and real. Jack was a shit boyfriend over the years but he was always a wonderful friend to Lou. You could feel the angst along the way, and how they could only love each other from afar. But you absolutely felt their love. And that, in itself, is heartbreaking.

Can we please make Lou’s Grease Birthday a real thing, because I WANT TO BE A PART OF IT!!!

I cried all the happy tears for Lou and Jack in the end because wow, what a moment. A decade in the making.

“Why did we wait this long?”
“I’d wait a lifetime for you.”

A Christmas fake dating trope you say?

Yes. Thank you! This was literally so cute and I enjoyed every bit of it. I will be picking up more from this author duo stat.

What an enchanting story!! Y’all, don’t sleep on this gem. It is soo soo good.

If you’re looking for a fantasy story with slight political intrigue, the excitement of a high stakes competition, and such a beautiful inclusion of Chinese folklore, this is the book for you!

This was a beautiful debut novel from Glendy Vanderah, and I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

What an interesting short story! This was entertaining and the ending was quite satisfactory. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the collection has in store!

I’m a sucker for a hopeful ending.
