Still hot AF, but I guess I was expecting more from the plot. The very twisted reenactment was entirely unhinged & with this group of psychos, I would expect nothing less.

I'm highly intrigued to see what Miss Molly throws at us in the full length novel.

This was a quick read with some fun mystery elements. I think a reread will allow me to appreciate the story a bit more since it is so short and fast moving. Overall, I am intrigued to read the next book!

AC really said this one is for the queers & the Swifties🍃✨

Another romance I absolutely LOVED by this author! Alison Cochrun has a talent for infusing her stories with humor while also touching on mental illness. Her characters are flawed yet relatable. The tension between Jac and Ellie while she was in the middle of a fake engagement situation was SO ANGSTY. I ate it up!

The tropes in here are also some favorites- fake dating/engagement, one bed, forced proximity, second chance. There is also great lgbtqia+ rep in here!!

I cannot wait for the next book from AC because I just know I am going to adore it.

challenging reflective

The fact that this is his real life and that he’s still alive at this point is just WILD.

I got the ick multiple times but reading about someone’s story battling a lifetime of addiction isn’t going to be an easy read. I thought the sporadic story telling and manner of language is a reflection of that.

A beautiful exploration of how grief is not a linear experience. Even through shared trauma, we all grieve in our own way, in our own time.

This heartfelt love story is one that I will absolutely revisit in the future. I cannot wait to read more from this amazing author!

A very sweet, steamy, small town romance featuring a friends to lovers relationship. The way this man was a complete simp for Stella 😌

If you adore a friends to lovers romance, small town setting, “he falls first” with the most cozy vibes— definitely pick this up!

For maximum coziness, pick this up during the fall/winter💛

This really is the cutest holiday romance I’ve read so far this season!!

This novella follows workplace rivals- Gabby and Jonathan as they compete to become the top bookseller in order to boost sales and keep their position within the company. While coming up with their own ways to deliver in the sales front, the two grow closer together in more ways than one.

As stated, this one serves up the vibes of The Hating Game, so definitely give this a go if you enjoyed that!

Second Read (nov 2023): 2 stars
reread for a friend's book club & lolll this did not age well.

First Read (dec 2022): 4 stars
This one had the ominous & eerie "wtf is happening" vibes of Get Out and I freakin loved it.

I wish the ending was drawn out a bit more, especially that last chapter but either way I highly recommend this one if you want a fast, engaging thriller to end the year off strong!
