This is a generous 3 stars which literally pains me to say. More thoughts to come if I remember but this did not have the Sarah Janet ✨razzle dazzle✨ I know & love.

What better place to be during an earthquake than in a broody, handsome man’s bakery??

This was a sweet little installment in this meet cute series & I’m happy I enjoyed it.

fast-paced

If this was any longer, I would have dnfed. On second thought, I should’ve just dnfed it.

This had me cringing basically the whole time so it was not a fun, fresh, or flirty time whatsoever.

“You don't even have to admit to yourself that you love me, Bee. God knows I love you enough for the both of us."

Listen, I'm almost as shocked as you that I rated this 5 stars because the start of this was a little rough to get through due to the science jargon and my not so science-knowledgable brain wasn't able to fully comprehend. All that aside, the story still stands on it's own and deserves to be fully appreciated for all that it is.

I don't know if I could gush enough about the absolute pure, sweet angle baby soul, that is Levi. I loved the way he loved Bee, in all the quiet ways that can go unnoticed, but those who are paying attention will appreciate and adore. He is truly the epitome of a "man written by a woman."

This book had me giggling, had my jaw on the floor, had me blushinggg! I don't know what else to say other than I'm glad I read it years after TLH and gave it a fair chance because I will treasure this story and I can't wait to reread it all over again.

”That’s the thing about kindness. You never know how big the ripple is. How one little selfless gesture can make all the difference for the person who receives it.”

Leave it to Abby to make me cry, laugh, and absolutely adore this short story. I don’t know how she does it but I am just utterly fascinated with her storytelling.

If you’ve enjoyed anything from her before, chances are HIGH that you’ll also feel the same about this little gem.

This one is on the somber side and discusses death of a loved one, so be kind to yourself & your heart before reading this🫶🏼

A super short & sweet love story 💞

Told in a mostly epistolary format over the span of ten plus years after a young man accidentally sends an email to the wrong person, which then turns into a silly tradition and leading these strangers to become friends. The friends to lovers connection blossoming was really sweet, and CL still managed to touch on some difficult topics.

This is the perfect read for Valentine's Day!

“Change on the fly. You don’t stop, you change what you have to and finish out the game.”

As my first book from this author, I had a good time reading this fast paced, best friend’s brother, hockey romance!

Essentially we follow Reed, a professional hockey player as he gains sole guardianship over his nephew after a tragic incident with his half sister. Not knowing how to raise a toddler, Reed enlists the help of Holland, his sister’s best friend. The forced proximity aspect allows the two to grow close and we see their relationship go from 0-100, or rather bloom, from there.

I wish we got to see more of the hockey aspect in here, but MM does give us a little sprinkle. It’s definitely a bit insta lovey/lusty, but I didn’t mind too much in this case.

I wasn’t expecting to get misty eyed, but there were some scenes that had me patting the tears away and I always love a good emo moment while reading.

Overall, this was an enjoyable and quick read! I hope to continue this series soon.
