So the main thing that was throwing me was the author would alternate between traditional dialogue and explaining what a character was saying……sometimes in the same paragraph: “Hello,” he said and told us where he was from. 

I saw this described elsewhere as the Obama/Biden bromance memes in book form and I feel like that fits

Yeahhhhhh this really wasn’t good. 

Because it was a little anthology of short stories some where definitely better than others. I enjoyed the first and the last the best. The second was also good, but I didn’t care for the third.
