An astronaut is lost in space and the reader must help him to find his way back to his spaceship and eventually home to earth. The reader has to shake the book, tilt the book, push "buttons", and blow on the pages to get the astronaut home.
I loved this cute book! It's so clever the way the interactive instructions make the reader feel like they are part of the story. It just proves that you don't need a bunch of bells and whistles and fancy things attached to a book to make it interactive and fun!
One of the things I liked about this book is that there is a "happiness meter" at the bottom of the page, showing the astronaut's mood. I actually felt happier when I saw that the astronaut was happy and safe!
The illustrations are minimalistic and colorful. The simple designs are attractive and cute! Even though we never see the astronaut's face, I felt connected to him or her, and wanted to help them get home. Such a simple design thing, but this way you can imagine for yourself how the astronaut looks.
What a delightful book! It's so fun and imaginative and clever!

What Adults Don't Know about Architecture: Inspiring Young Minds to Build a More Beautiful World
This book is geared towards children, introducing them to the world of architecture, and teaching them why architecture is so important. I love the approach here, and the simple way that the book leads the reader into a better understanding of beautiful buildings. It begins with simple questions, What is architecture, and why is it important to each person? Why do some buildings look beautiful, and others are ugly? Who decides which buildings are pleasing or unpleasing?
I love the philosophy in this book about how the buildings where we live and work can shape our experiences and our culture, connecting us to our past and reflecting our personal lives. Buildings can make us feel safe or bored or inspired or sad. The environment around the building has a big impact too. Different designs will have different meanings, whether to be functional or inviting, to impress or to bring a calm atmosphere.
Architecture helps us to remember our past, preserving our culture and history in our beautiful houses and schools and churches. Appreciating great architecture can give meaning to our lives and help us to explore our own emotions and thoughts in new ways.
This book includes famous buildings as examples of how to look at architecture, appreciate the details, understand the history, and make sense of your own experiences with ugly or beautiful places you have seen. I read through the pages and stared in complete awe at the gorgeous architecture from various centuries!
What an absolute delight! I was almost in tears by the end, because I was so moved by this lovely journey through the world of architecture Suddenly I'm inspired to visit a local historic town and look around me in a whole new way!

This book has amazing maps of star constellations, our solar system, planets, galaxies, and comets. There is a wealth of information about gravity, dwarf planets, black holes, the moon, and spacecraft. I especially liked reading the history about how ancient cultures viewed the stars and the folklore and mythology that grew up around certain constellations.
The design of this book is beautiful! The pages are really thick and sturdy, and each page has little snippets of information all over it. I loved reading about the history of space exploration and the brave men and women who have traveled in outerspace. There are entire two-page spreads dedicated to each planet with information about temperatures, minerals, and gases. There are even myths about Martians! I loved learning more about nebula, and the types of brilliant stars.
The illustrations in this book are really cool! They are so colorful and full of information, but also really clear so that you can easily find the crater or constellation you are looking for. The design of each page is really clever with factoids and bits of information all over the page, but it never looks cluttered or messy. The artwork is gorgeous with a really attractive style!
One thing that I really hate in scientific books is when a scientific THEORY is presented as if it were a fact. This is so unethical, and it would be so easy to correct. If only the text said, "One theory about the origin of the universe is ....billions of years... evolution... etc." But they don't say that. They write as if the age of the universe and the theory of evolution are established empirical facts that have been tested and proven. But they're not. And it is dishonest to present a theory and pretend that it is a fact. It makes me not trust anything else that the book says. If they are misrepresenting one theory, they might be doing it all over the place. How can I trust what is written in this book if they aren't careful to present the information in the correct way?

A rabbit runs through the forest shouting to everyone he meets that a hungry wolf is in the forest. He tries to get the snail to run away, but the snail is too slow. He tries to get the dormouse to run, but the dormouse is too sleepy. He tries to get the donkey to run away, but the donkey is too stubborn. Can the rabbit save them before the wolf comes to eat them all?
This is such a fun little book! I thought the story was very funny and silly. I thought the rabbit was very resourceful trying to help everyone. He yells at everyone to run away, and if they won't run, he just picks them up and carries them to safety.
I loved the illustrations! Every page is full of bright colors and cute animals. I love the sweet little snail. He's so little and cute! What an adorable book!

Dulcinea has been told not to go in the forbidden forest, because an evil witch lives there. But when the witch puts her father under a spell, Dulcinea goes looking for the witch to find a way to save her father. She journeys through the forest, and outwits the old witch!
I loved this imaginative story so much! The creatures in the forest are so weird-looking, and the story is magical and exciting. There are also some really funny lines that had me laughing!
Dulcinea is so resourceful and smart! I was inspired by her courage and her love for her father. The way that Dulcinea tricks the witch was so interesting and unique.
I loved the cute illustrations in black and white and shades of red. The cartoony art style brings a light-hearted feeling to the story. Every page has something interesting or funny in the art work, and it's very attractive!

A tiny woman needs a coat. She looks for fabric, for a needle, for buttons, for thread, and the creatures of the forest help her to find what she needs to make herself a little coat.
This is such a cute story! The tiny woman is so resourceful and smart. She really inspires me to look at things in a different way. Maybe leaves could be like fabric. Maybe seeds could be used as buttons. Maybe everyday things that we don't notice could actually be useful and beautiful.
It's such a simple story, but it has a powerful message. Plus it's just fun and interesting to see how she manages to make her coat.
I love the beautiful illustrations! The art style is warm and fuzzy. Every page is attractive, full of soothing colors. I love how the tiny woman's hair is all messy and blown about. It gives her such a cozy look.

Mika begs her father to let her buy a pet. He is so busy with work that he lets her go to the pet shop and buy whatever pet she wants. She buys a little mouse, but the mouse gets lost in the house. So she buys a dog to find the mouse. One after another, Mika keeps buying more and more pets until she has a menagerie at home! However, she does not buy a seahorse. They are sold out.
This was such a fun and silly book! Mika is so adorable. She keeps getting more and more animals to solve problems with the previous animals and to keep them company. It keeps escalating more and more until her father finally stops working long enough to notice that there are animals everywhere!
I love the cute illustrations! All the pets are completely adorable, and Mika is so sweet. The art style is bright and fun, and really enhances the comedy in this book.
I can't wait to read this one with my nieces!

This book really does have everything you need to know about reading, writing, and understanding the English language. There are chapters about Grammar, Language, Reading Fiction and Non Fiction, and Writing. It covers the basics of sentence structure, clauses, and figurative language, and also explores plot structure, character development, textual analysis, and how to write a convincing argument and present the facts correctly.
Don't be fooled by the "middle school" label. This is information that most college students and adults have probably forgotten and would need to review (or learn for the first time because they missed it in grade school.) This would be a very helpful resource to anyone who wants to write, or who just wants to get better at understanding what they read.
I love the design of this book! It's so colorful and easy to read. It does not feel like a boring textbook at all. There is bright artwork on most pages that illustrates the information presented.
There are examples from famous books that are analyzed and explained. At the end of most sections, there is a little quiz where you can "Check Your Knowledge". There are even reading lists, with recommended books to read if you want more.
This book really does have everything!

Little Cat is so hungry. He has four desserts to eat, a piece of pie, a cupcake, a donut, and chocolate cake. But one by one his desserts are eaten by other animals. Little Cat has to discover who is eating his treats!
I loved the simple illustrations in this book. The colors are bright and attractive, and the fuzzy style is really cute!
Me encantaron las sencillas ilustraciones de este libro. Los colores son brillantes y atractivos, ¡y el estilo difuso es lindo!
The flaps on each page are cleverly designed, so that on one side the drawing looks like the dessert, and when you open it, half of the drawing reveals the animal that ate the dessert. It's brilliant!
Las solapas de cada página están ingeniosamente diseñadas, de modo que en un lado el dibujo se parece a el pastel, y cuando lo abres, la mitad del dibujo revela el animal que se comió el pastel. ¡Es brillante!
I love this sweet board book! ¡Me encanta este dulce libro de cartón!
