The chaos in this book actually scares me. There's nothing logical or normal in the text or the pictures. I have no clue what is happening in the story. Nothing makes sense.

The punctuation and capitalization are completely random. Some words are capitalized, some aren't. There's no rhyme or reason to any of it. Some sentences have punctuation, some don't.

"Yum! said Fred, banana fun bread
Its kinda like his big cup red
Take a small sip as his head starts to tip
out his ear, banana fun bread!"

So... the bread comes out of his ear??? What does that even mean?
It's like someone just threw some random words together and called it a book.

Chameleon is very quiet, and doesn't speak up very much. She relies on her expressive colors to tell her friends what she is feeling, but sometimes they misunderstand. Elephant asks to borrow Chameleon's blue, and Lemur asks for red. Crocodile just takes Chameleon's yellow without even asking, but Chameleon doesn't know how to tell them no.

Chameleon confides in her friend, Flamingo, who encourages her to speak out and really tell her friends that she is not okay with giving away her colors. Chameleon gathers the courage to ask for her colors back.

I just loved this sweet book about speaking your mind with courage and standing up for your own boundaries. The story is told in such a simple and interesting way, but the message is deep and meaningful. Even if younger children might not understand the deeper message, they will still enjoy the fun story!

The illustrations are so bright and colorful! I love the cartoony art style and the cute characters. Every page is full of color and expression.

This book presents famous philosophers through history and gives an overview of their most popular ideas and beliefs. These include Aristotle, John Locke, Karl Marx, Nietzsche, and Descartes, with many others.

I certainly don't agree with many of the philosophies presented in this book, but I think this would be a great way to introduce these ideas to young people and start a dialogue about why some of these philosophies don't actually work in real life. Some of them have merit, but don't align with reality. They are like dreams that sound nice, but lead to destruction. Other beliefs in this book are rooted in reality and have sound logic behind them.

Each philosopher has a cutesy animal name, and a sweet animal character in the illustrations. I love the adorable art style and the cartoony illustrations!

However, the pages are very text-heavy for a children's book. The text seems to be addressing a much older audience, maybe teenagers. The vocabulary and sentence structure would be appropriate for 13-17 years old. The ideas that are explored in this book would be way too advanced for little readers.

I don't know who this book is for. What is the target age range? It seems entirely unsuited to any age range. Older readers would not like the babyish animal illustrations, but younger readers would be unable to follow the lengthy narration with sophisticated philosophical ideas.

If only the current text had more sophisticated art, or if only the current art had a simpler text, it would be more appropriate for some age group or other.

Me encantaron las hermosas ilustraciones de este libro. Las escenas de la jungla son atractivos. El arte es suave y de colores brillantes, mostrando las sombras bajo los árboles y el pelaje y las plumas de los animales. Hay una escena en la que la madre de Zonia está amamantando a un bebé, y el arte es apropiado y encantador con toda la belleza de la vida familiar.

Uno de los animales amigos de Zonia es una serpiente boa constrictor, y por eso no me quedaré con este libro. Se lo pasaré a alguien que no le tenga miedo a las serpientes.

Zonia hears the Amazon jungle calling to her, and she answers. She explores through the jungle every day. She visits her favorite animal friends, and calls "Welcome" to all the new animal babies. But one day she sees trees in the jungle that have been cut down. The jungle is calling to her again, and Zonia decides to answer, and do everything she can to protect her jungle home.

I loved the beautiful illustrations in this book. The jungle scenes are inviting and alluring. The art is soft and colorful, showing the shadows under the trees and the fuzzy fur and brilliant feathers of the animals. There is one scene where Zonia's mother is breast-feeding a baby, and the art is appropriate and lovely with all the warmth of family life.

One of Zonia's animals friends is a boa constrictor snake, so I will not be keeping this book for myself. I will pass it on to someone who is not afraid of snakes.

This book gives detailed information about how to care for your own beehive. It includes the lifecycles of worker bees, drones, and the queens. We learn how to harvest honey, how to use the wax to make candles, and how to keep bees happy and healthy all year round.

The book is very text-heavy in some places. It does not read like a children's picture book, but more like a textbook. It's very interesting and thorough, and I enjoyed learning all about beekeeping. However, I don't think you could really use this book to start beekeeping on your own. It doesn't always explain the exact details of how to do things.

The illustrations are really cute, as the bear character takes care of the bees and processes the honey. However, sometimes the bear's face looked distorted in odd ways. The design is not always consistent from page to page, and sometimes he would look much larger, and other times smaller. I was confused about why the bear's grandmother was human. It seemed out of place.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, but I think I was expecting a simpler children's picture book instead of such a text-heavy and instructional book.

In this book, Cruz and his friends are tracking down another clue that his mother left for him when she died. This time they are visiting the Seychelles, India and Bhutan, and the stakes have never been higher. The spies from the evil Nebula corporation are closing in, and Cruz begins to doubt is he can trust even his closest friends.

There are a lot of plots twists and major revelations in this book! Just when you think it's going to be another formula plot, finding the clues, solving the puzzle, and traveling around the world... Bam! Something insane happens and it throws everything into turmoil. The adventure is fantastic!

I just adore these characters! They each have some good development and I love their different personalities. It's so cool to see how they discover their strengths and weaknesses in this book and grow closer as a team. Cruz is such an amazing main character. He surprises me in every book!

One of my favorite side characters dies in this book. No spoilers, but I was crying my eyes out when this character died. It was such a beautiful death scene and really meaningful and tragic. I was ugly crying and whispering, "No! No. It can't be." to the book. I was very emotionally invested in this story. I also liked that after the death, the other characters grieved. They didn't just jump back into daily life. We see them stumbling and trying to find their way again. Nothing is the same. They are grieving and blaming themselves. There are emotional consequences. I love the depth of these characters! It's such good storytelling, and it really made an impact on me.

The exotic locations are amazing, and I loved learning about different conservation efforts in the national parks of the Seychelle islands. There is a lot of interesting information about turtle egg poaching and wildlife conservation. It's so interesting to see the true history and real facts about actual places interwoven with the story, especially about how the local government uses technology to stop poachers and protect the ecosystem.

I love learning about the history of the Taj Mahal and the Paro Taktsang Monastery. The historical sights are incredibly interesting, and I was so fascinated that I felt like I was visiting those places with Cruz and his friends. But all of the information is woven so seamlessly into the story that you never realize you are learning. It doesn't slow down the plot at all.

The fictional technology is really cool. This book introduces a tiny robot that can monitor sea turtle eggs in their nest and protect them by sending out an alert if a poacher or predator comes to steal the eggs. And of course, Cruz has his little honeybee robot, Mel, who saves the day on more than one occasion!

I really enjoyed the writing style, which has both some serious situations and some humor to keep things light. The pacing is excellent. The writing kept my attention and had me turning those pages.

The artwork is a cool mixture of illustrations overlaid on top of real photographs, and it adds a wonderful dimension and depth to the story. I loved seeing the characters brought to life in the artwork, as well as the beautiful locations they visit. It really makes a special addition to the story!

This board book folds out to be 56" long! The reader learns the sounds for each animal on the train. There are sheep, bees, horses, cats, frogs, bunnies, and mice, and a bunch more! And of course, the farmer's tractor pulls the train along and "goes vroom vroom."

This is such a cute book! I just love the adorable illustrations and sweet animal characters. It's colorful and full of interesting little details in the background of each scene.

This would be so much fun to read with a child, and teach a toddler all of the sounds for the farm animals. Any kid would be crazy excited to play with this train and unfold all the pages!

Although the board book is sturdy and well-constructed, there is a possibility that little hands might tear the train at the hinges of each page where the structure is a little more vulnerable. But even the hinges are sturdy and thick. It would have to take a lot of damage before it could be torn, but hey, we all know how destructive toddlers can be. haha! Still I think this board book would hold up pretty well.

This board book explores the different types of people that you can always count on. Firefighters, doctors, teachers, grandparents, friends: all these people will be there to help you when you need them. We count down from 10 as the book shows us people working, teaching, and healing.

What a sweet book!!! It's just so adorable and meaningful to hear about the sweet siblings helping each other, and the moms and dads taking care of their children. I think it's cool that the book ends by saying that you can also count on yourself, and there is a little mirror on the last page.

I just love these colorful illustrations! All the scenes are full of little details in the background and a bunch of different characters from all races working and playing. Each page is vibrant and full of energy and fun!

The text is written in rhyme. Now I am very picky about children's books written in rhyme. It's one of my pet peeves if the rhyme is not written well. But this book is so great! The rhymes are really good, and the meter fits, and the whole story flows along nicely. This would be a delight to read aloud!

I can't wait to share this book with my little nieces!

Jasmine and Jamie go on a dinosaur adventure back in time where they meet alamosaurus, triceratops, velociraptors, and even the fearsome T-Rex. They ride on the back of a pterosaur who flies into the sky over swamps and deserts. They dive into the sea to look for an elasmosaurus.

Jasmine and Jamie are such cute characters. They get really excited about all the different types of dinosaurs. And there are many dinosaurs included that are less well known, like the little beelzebufo, the gallimimus, and the ammonite.

I love the clever die-cut openings in this book! The illustrations are so colorful and vibrant, and each opening reveals something on the next page. I love all the little details in the background of each scene.

This book is really special, and so much fun to read!

Annie discovers several animals washed up on a beach and determines to help them find their homes again. The penguin returns to the polar sea, and the alligator returns to the wetland swamp, a piranha find his home in the Amazon river, and a little frog goes hopping into a lake.

This book includes factoids about all the types of bodies of water from rivers to coral reefs. It has illustrations showing amazing animals and fish that live in each location. We learn about all the weird and wild fish in the sea, and how they use disguises to fool their predators. We learn about the deepest lakes, the coldest seas, and all the cool oceans in between.

I really liked the illustrations. The art style is soft and cartoony, and all the little animals are so cute! Each scene has dozens of animals and plants in the background, and they are all labeled so you can learn about them.

The pages of this book are thick, but not so thick as a board book. I like that the factoids are presented in little boxes around the page, making it easy to read.
