This is such an imaginative book! Imagining that you are an animal is such a fun way to get children to do yoga poses. I love how it prompts children to get all those wiggles out in a constructive and enjoyable way. Each of the activities are wonderful for releasing all that energy and bringing the body and mind into focus. You also get a wonderful yoga stretch along the way.

Little Bear accidentally breaks Mommy's favorite sunflower, and she is worried that her mother will be upset with her. But Mommy reassures Little Bear that they are always connected by their love, even when things go wrong.

This book made me cry, it's so sweet and full of love! I really like that the story is not too cutesy or sentimental, but still has a loving message that is powerful. This is one story that will NOT make little kids roll their eyes.

Little Bear is such a spunky character! She plays the drums, runs in a race, flies a kite, and climbs a tree. She tells herself, 'I can do it! I won't let this obstacle stop me.'

I am so delighted with this story! I love how it presents a realistic picture of life as things go wrong for Little Bear AND for her Mommy. They both make mistakes and sometimes get upset, but through it all they try to focus on the positive and always rely on their family love to give them strength.

The illustrations are adorable! I love the soft art style and the beautiful colors. The expressions on the characters' faces are perfect. They really enhance the story, bringing the reader into the mood of each scene.

A little mouse makes friends with different animals on each page where everything is shades of the same signature color. The orange monkey, the red lion, the pink flamingo, and blue elephant all join the mouse, and they meet the yellow giraffe at the end for some fun games together.

I found it strange that the giraffe is the titular character, and yet only appears on one page. The mouse is the main character who meets all the other animals throughout the book. Odd.

I loved the way that each color is described as having a mood. It's really thoughtful and sweet! Not only does this book introduce colors, but also gives some little lessons about healthy emotions too.

Noah goes on an ocean adventure, first snorkeling in a coral reef, then diving deep in a submarine, finding a sunken treasure, and moving into Antarctic waters.

I love the die-cut openings in this board book! Each one is like a little peek into the next adventure, and the openings are arranged very cleverly. There is also a surprise pop-out design at the end that is very cool!

The illustrations are so colorful and bright! I love the cartoony style of the art and how expressive Noah is. You can really see the action in the artwork as Noah discovers new things on every page.

Each ocean creature is labeled with its name, and the story explains some of the things the fish and animals are doing. A sea otter almost eats a crab, and some dolphins try to get a jellyfish snack.
The coolest part of the story is when Noah uses the robotic arm on his submarine to grab the sunken pirate treasure.

I am so impressed with this book! It's fun and informative and beautifully designed.

I loved this cute book!!! So adorable to see the other ladybugs trying to hide, and they fail miserably because they are just too red and bright. But Spots is smart, and he has a plan to fool Beepo. I loved his spunky character!

The die-cut openings are arranged so cleverly to showcase important aspects of hiding in the story. The ladybugs try to learn how to hide from other insects and creatures. There is a brown butterfly who hides on a brown brick wall, and his wings are die-cut through to the other side of the page, making it a really special element of the story. A green caterpillar and a stick insect are also die-cut this way to emphasize how they hide in their natural environment. So clever!

The illustrations are just beautiful with lovely colors and a cute design. The little insect characters are so adorable! I love the cartoony art style and pretty backgrounds.

Olivia hates it when her mother nicknames her "Mouse". She feels like she turns into a real mouse every time her mother says it. She turns into a mouse while holding balloons and floats away. She turns into a mouse while roller skating and she falls inside the moving skate. She turns into a mouse while playing soccer and almost gets stepped on by her teammates. But worst of all, her mother calls her "Mouse" in front of the family cat, and Olivia gets chased by the ravenous feline! Finally, she decides to put a stop to it, and refuses to answer to the nickname at all. But as she looks around at other parents who nickname their children, she begins to realize that "Mouse" isn't such a bad nickname after all.

The cuteness factor is off the charts with this one! The story is hilarious and sweet, and so imaginative. Olivia loves her mother, but is so annoyed whenever she calls her by her nickname. Then she finds out that her mother has a childhood nickname of her own, and is gets even more hilarious!

I love the illustrations! The crayon art style is beautiful with bright colors, and I like the clever design of each page as Olivia changes into a mouse under different circumstances. The action and the expressions on character's faces really draws the reader into the story.

This book also has a positive message about affection and family love. It's beautiful from start to finish!

The Nuff is a unicorn with a broken horn, but she doesn't let that stop her from being amazing, trying new things, and being confident in herself. Even if she isn't perfect, she is enough!
The Nuff may not look like the girls in magazines, and she might make mistakes or sing off-key, but she is a beautiful and brave unicorn with a big heart and a smart brain that keeps her enjoying life. She plays sports, rollerskates with friends, goes swimming in the ocean, explores the countryside, generously gives to others, plays in the mud, climbs mountains, rides her bike, plays princess dress-up, and dances across the grass.

This book was written by a mother for her daughters. She died of cancer shortly after writing it, and it is her message to all children everywhere that they are enough.

I really loved the positive messages and themes in this book! So many times we find it hard to forgive ourselves for not being perfect, and even adults need to be reminded that we are enough.

The poetry is good, and the rhyming is good, but sometimes the rhythm of the lines didn't add up, or words were obviously added to fill in space. Sometimes the writing has an almost musical rhythm, and then that rhythm is interrupted by a line that is too short or too long, and doesn't match the previous couplet. It was fine, but could have been better.

The illustrations are just beautiful! I love the bright colors and the cute animal characters. The energy and vitality of the unicorn character is evident on every page!

I wasn't quite sure why the book started out with a narrator introducing the story and then began with the Nuff being born. It's not a very natural starting place for the story. I also was not happy with the sudden change in perspective to the narrator again in the middle of the book. Then it jumps back to the Nuff again on the next page. It was jarring, and interrupted the flow of the story. I understand that the narrator is the author speaking directly to her daughters, and that is very sweet, but the pacing of the story would have been better without the narrator scenes.

This a very sweet and inspiring book for children ages 5-10.

The delivery truck is ready to deliver some groceries. The school bus picks up the children. The city park truck delivers some trees to be planted. The train stops to pick up passengers. And the recycling truck picks up the recycling.

Each page begins with an illustration of the closed truck or bus, then when the reader lifts the flap it reveals the truck opened up making a delivery or picking up. This is an excellent way to get children guessing what comes next, and to test their memory. The flaps make this a really special book!

I appreciated that the characters driving and getting in and out of the vehicles are all diverse and of different ages. They come from all different races, and some are in a wheelchair, or carrying a baby, or wearing eyeglasses. Just a wide variety of normal people like you would see in any city.

The illustrations are bright and bold, perfect for little readers. The board book itself has a solid construction, and the flaps are sturdy as well to withstand little baby hands pulling at them.

Such a cute and useful book!

Horse is plain and frumpy. He's jealous of the gorgeous Unicorn, who eats pink cupcakes and makes rainbows. Unicorn dances around spreading cheer and sunshine. Horse eats hay and scowls at everyone with a grumpy attitude. Can these two ever resolve their differences and becomes friends?

This story is hilarious! It's so much fun that I read it three times in a row!
I laughed and laughed at the funny predicaments poor Horse has to deal with. The illustrations are a big part of the humor, with silly expressions on the character's faces and background details that make the story even funnier. I just love the soft cartoon style of the illustrations. The artwork is bright and vibrant with adorable animal characters and plenty of action.

The story itself is brilliantly worded, and the pacing is just right for the jokes and humor. Even though the writing is simple for children, it's organized in a way that makes a big impact and surprises you into laughing. Each word is vivid and descriptive, plunging the reader right into the story.

It wasn't until halfway through the book that I realized that Unicorn is a male. I assumed it was a female Unicorn, but then the text refers to Unicorn as "he". I'm not sure if that is some kind of statement about something, or if it's just a funny nod to the idea that there must be male unicorns, even though we usually think of them as female. It didn't impact my enjoyment of the book, and I loved the brotherly friendship that develops between Horse and Unicorn.
