This is an entertaining search-and-find book with a beautiful chaos of different people and animals at the zoo. Everywhere you look there is something interesting happening and a story line to follow!

I love the colorful and detailed illustrations! Each page is beautifully drawn with fun little details to draw the reader in. I'm 38 years old, and I was fascinated with each intricate scene!

It's so fun to search for people in the hustle and bustle of the scenery and follow them from page to page as their little story unfolds. Suzy is looking for her teddy bear, and Hamid is having trouble with his camera as a bee bothers him. Animals everywhere are eating and playing. People all over the zoo are acting out their own dramas and the animals are a focal point of the entire book.

This book is perfect for little readers to search for individual people and items in the pages! I can't wait to read this book with my little toddler nieces.

Featuring dozens of different horse breeds, this book has mazes, puzzles, word searches, dot-to-dot, and of course, coloring pages. I really liked the variety of activities and the beautiful coloring pages with lovely designs of horses.

I really liked how the information is presented in this book, giving some interesting facts about horses, riding outfits and equipment, and the types of breeds. Each page has an activity or coloring design, and a small text box to the side giving some interesting information.

Different horses will have different manes (straight, curly, coarse, silky), and different sizes and origins. They run in different types of races and jumping courses, and have different types of skills and strengths. There are even some facts about caring for horses and identifying riding equipment.

This book is perfect for any youngster who is obsessed with horses! (Like I was when I was a kid.)

When Moose loses his twin brother at the airport, Mr. Brown decides to help him search for his brother. But Moose's brother must have gotten on a plane somewhere and could be lost anywhere in the world! Mr. Brown gives Moose a job travelling around the world, designing clothing for animals in need.

Moose and Mr. Brown search in Japan, where they design a tail for a flying squirrel. They search in New York, where they design a hat for a bald eagle. They search in Africa (lion pajamas), China (panda eyeglasses), India (cobra bib), and in Australia (kangaroo dungarees).
Finally they arrive in Paris for the big fashion show, and Moose's last chance to find his twin brother.

The illustrations are cute and quirky! I really loved the imaginative art style. All the characters are stuffed animals who live in the modern world, wearing suits and working jobs. My favorite one is the giraffe wearing the enormous scarf, as shown on the cover.

The story is told in simple prose with a really imaginative plot. Moose and Mr. Brown find so many animals with various needs and they design raincoats, snowshoes, perfumed pants, earmuffs, snorkels, and mittens. Mr. Brown has a whole team of designers, seamstresses, craftsmen, and fashion experts working for him.

I loved this funny story!

This sticker activity book features Christmas crafts, sticker pages, cookie recipes, games, and activities for children. There are charts for counting down the days to Christmas and even a weather chart to keep track of the weather each day. Some of the crafts include masks, bird feeders, table setting cards, snowflake paper chains, and a Christmas wreath.
The games include a Christmas treasure hunt for indoors; exploring for leaves, pine cones, and bird feathers in the outdoors; as well as on-paper activities like a word search or puzzle.

My favorite part of this book are the coloring stickers that are left blank so you can color them in yourself before using them on the sticker activities. There is even a page that prompts you to write your own holiday song!

These look like such fun activities to do with children at Christmas time!

Featuring 14 stories from famous Disney movies, this collection includes Aladdin, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Bambi, Robin Hood, The Lion King, and 101 Dalmatians. All the stories are simplified for toddlers, with beautiful classic illustrations in the inimitable Disney style.

I loved this collection of Disney stories! A lot of these are some of my favorite Disney movies, and it's lovely to see them brought to life in a simple and easy-to-read storybook for little readers. The stories are simplified down to the bare bones of the story, but the vibrant illustrations help to fill in the gaps.

I do wish that there were more pictures to illustrate each aspect of the story, since some parts of the plot are lost in these abridged versions. If you didn't already know the main story line, it would be easy to miss something.

I especially liked how the illustrations depict scenes directly from the movies, keeping the integrity of each story intact, but also re-imagining the perspectives on those scenes to fit a book style.

The structure of the book is excellent with a sturdy cover and thick pages to withstand little hands.
I'm going to read this with my little niece!

Each chapter is a simple story about Mickey and his friends as they go on a picnic, ride a fire truck in a parade, visit a pet shop, and work on a dairy farm. Donald Duck, Goofy, Daisy, and Minnie are along for the ride too, ready for each adventure!

I love this adorable collection of short stories about Mickey! The stories are simple and easy to read with colorful pictures that make it perfect for little readers. I especially enjoyed that each story has a little lesson about being true to yourself, sharing with your friends, working as a team, or being brave in difficult circumstances. The writing makes this easy to read out loud, and the colorful illustrations are designed to capture a child's attention.

The iconic art style brings Mickey and his friends to life through every page, and the structure of the book is excellent with a sturdy cover and thick pages to withstand little hands.
I'm going to read this with my 2 year old niece!

Fergus is different from his sea turtle brothers and sisters. His shell is tougher, he has claws instead of flippers, and he's bigger than the other hatchlings. Why is he so different? He explores the sea looking for his parents, and encounters many types of sea creatures, all of whom try to eat him. Will he ever discover the truth about himself?

I loved the artwork and the colors in this children's picture book. The soothing blues and greens of the seascape really show the depth of the ocean. I was able to follow the clear illustrations because of the strong lines and clean figures. I thought Fergus's little face was so cute! He really is an adorable character.

However, the writing is not particularly impressive. The rhyming is not always good, and the meter is all over the place. The story line itself is interesting and enjoyable as little Fergus encounters sea creatures, and wonders about his parents. The story has development and a good ending.

But I am tired of children's book authors thinking that every children's book has to rhyme and then they force really bad rhymes that don't work, and they can't stick to a decent meter or apparently count how many syllables are in a couplet.
Rhyming "sand" with "underground" is just atrocious. It's also odd that the first page doesn't rhyme at all, then the rest of the book starts rhyming.

But even so, I really enjoyed reading this picture book! Most of the rhymes ARE good, and most of the couplets have the right amount of syllables (or fairly close). I just think it could have been better if it told a straight-forward story and left the poetry to Milton and Byron.

"To baa or not to baa... That is the question."

The cuteness factor in this board book is through the roof! Reimagining the life of William Shakespeare as a sheep, everything is transformed into animalistic phrases, words, and illustrations. William Sheepspeare writes "ram-ances" instead of "romances", and "shearious" tragedies like "Lamblet, MacBleat, and Julius Fleecer".

Introducing young children to the beautiful Globe Theater and Sheepspeare's home in Stratford with his family (his "ewe, Anne Hoofaway" and three "lambs"), the simple story-telling is the perfect style for little readers to learn about this historical figure.

The book even explains that no "ewes" acted in Sheepspeare's plays, but only rams wearing ewes clothing and wigs to play the ewes parts. We also learn that Sheepspeare invented his own new words, and was asked to "hoof it" to the palace to perform for the Queen of England, who appears as a fox.

The whole book is full of sunshine and adorable puns. The illustrations are colorful and vibrant, with charming details in the background that add depth to the simple story.
The best part of this book is seeing all the animals dressed up in costumes for the various plays, togas for Julius Caesar, and armor and swords for MacBeth, as well as the regular fashions of Shakespeare's day with ruffled collars and doublets.

So adorable! I can't wait to read this book with my little 2-year-old niece.

As part of their heartfulness meditation practice, Ms. Snowden's elementary class starts doing a kindness project, and each child tells the class about the kind things they do through the week. But Henry can't think of anything that he has done to be kind, until his classmates remind him of all the little things he has done to show them generosity, helpfulness, and kindness.

I loved the themes of loving-kindness, generosity, and mindfulness in this book! The first few pages show the class learning a meditation that they repeat and take into their hearts, fostering love and gentleness toward the people around them.

I like that this book has a positive message without feeling too preachy, and the morals fit in nicely with the overall story.

I did NOT enjoy the art style. A lot of the perspectives are off, so that a table might look like it's floating in midair, because the legs of the table don't line up with the floor. In one illustration a characters legs are sticking out from under a table at a strange angle. It looks sloppy and odd.
The characters are cute, and I like the color scheme, but the lines of the illustrations don't always look right. Some pages look like they were drawn by a child. Cute, but not the best quality.

This adorable book introduces a whole group of monsters, each with their own unique look and their own favorite hobby. On each page, we ask the monster, "Who are you?" and they respond in rhyme to tell us about their wings or their tail or fur, and something that they are doing.

The repetition in this book is perfect for young children, ages 2-6, who love repeating similar sentences over and over. Every page has a different hobby or activity that the monsters are doing, and then the monster asks the reader if they like to do that activity too. This would be lovely to read with a child, and have them answer the questions.

The illustrations are colorful and imaginative, since each monster is so different and varied. All the monsters look cute and friendly, with comical expressions.

This will be such a cute book to read with my baby niece!
