This beautiful guided journal prompts the reader/writer to answer questions, contemplate quotes about peace and mindfulness, practice meditations, focus on the breath, embrace personal affirmations, and write down their thoughts.

The best thing about this book is the beautiful design and calming colors on each page. It makes me want to open the book and notice every little leaf and fruit design around the edges while I do the meditations.

The prompts begin with a simple noticing of your emotions, your body, and surroundings, and then move into more deep contemplations and journal instructions about your insecurities, your strengths and fears.

Each page encourages the reader/writer to use mindfulness as a calm place inside themselves, and from that place they can observe the world and not get caught up in reacting to everything that happens. This is a wonderful tool to deal with stress and anxiety!

One of the good things about the way this book is organized is that you can write on one page or on several in a day. You can write nothing, but just do a meditation, or go back and do a meditation you previously enjoyed. Or you could just read an inspiring quote and call it a day. The structure is very free, so that the reader can complete only what they need for that day.

There is also a short list of mindfulness apps and other books that help to deepen your mindfulness practice.

I don't think this book is exclusively for teens. Other than a few mentions of school, this book would apply to anyone. An adult could just substitute "work" for "school" and find a lot of satisfaction and inspiration in this book.

I really appreciated that the writing uses universal wording that can apply to any generation, instead of trying too hard to sound hip by using a lot of modern slang or references to "cool" products or shows. Even as a teen, I didn't like books that try to appeal to teens through slang. I would much rather hear the straight truth with no fancy embellishments. This book has a very good balance in the writing!

This word search book is divided into puzzles grouped by the book of the Bible and by chapter of the Bible. For instance, the first puzzle has words from Genesis 1:1-26, and the next word search has words from Genesis 2:7-10:9. There are three or four puzzles for each book of the Bible.

It's strange that the book says they use the King James translation of the Bible, but they include puzzles for books of the Bible that are not included in King James, like the apocryphal books of Tobit, Judith, Maccabees, Sirach, and Baruch.

Each puzzle has about 30 words to search for, with big text to make it easier. I like the clear design, and each page is color-coded for a specific book of the Bible.

These puzzles look like fun, and are a great way to boost your brain function!

This Christian workbook has wonderfully positive encouragement for young girls, reminding them that they are daughters of the King, more than conquerors through Christ, and they can navigate tough decisions in life with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

This book is peppered with Bible verses on every page, and excellent affirmations and Biblical truths to boost the confidence of the young Christian. The Scriptures are taken from various translations like NIV, MSG, NASB, and ESV, so the reader might want to read along with their own preferred Bible edition.

One of the special things about this workbook is the variety of activities included. There are quizzes, true or false questions, meditations and prayers, creative writing exercises, and ways to serve God in your family, school, neighborhood, and church.

I really like the design. Just like the art style on the cover, there are cute drawings and graphics on the edges of each page with soft pastel colors.

This devotional workbook is really inspiring and give excellent spiritual advice! Especially as a young person is struggling to identify their own personality as they grow, this book encourages them to embrace how God created them to be with their own strengths and skills and personal traits, enhanced by the fruit of the Spirit.

This simple journal is the perfect companion to a daily prayer time, with plenty of room for writing in thoughts or prayers, and a Scripture verse at the bottom of each page.

I like that there is NO introduction telling you how to pray, or how to use the book, or some long personal story about the author's prayer journey. There are NO journal prompts or condescending "uplifting" stories about Christian life. It's just blank pages ready for writing and a verse to inspire you. The simplicity of it is perfect!

The subtle design is soothing, and the blue and gray color scheme is pleasant. The Scripture is taken from several different English translations, mostly NIV and NLT with some NKJV.

This book would make an excellent gift for a Christian prayer warrior, whether young or old, who is interested in enhancing their prayer life!

Harriet Tubman was born as a slave and escaped to freedom. She worked tirelessly to free other slaves and even served as a spy during the American Civil War. She is best known for her work as a "conductor," guiding slaves to freedom through the "Underground Railroad," a series of safe houses called "stations" that allowed slaves to travel undetected to the Northern United States and Canada.

I loved the simple writing style, easy for a beginner to understand. There are fact boxes in the corners that explain the meanings of words, and give direct quotes from Tubman.

There are many features that make this book special, like a time line of Tubman's life, quick facts about her, and the many ways people have honored her legacy. There is a quiz at the back of the book to test your knowledge about Tubman and help with reading comprehension.

The colorful design and old-timey photos captured my attention. There are also activities and questions that get the reader engaged and make them think carefully about the ideas in the book. I appreciated how thoughtful the questions are and how much goes into the design!

This book gives an overview of the history of music and how music developed over time to include different styles. With paintings and photographs showcased in a colorful design, this book is sure to capture the attention of anyone interested in music!

I really love how the information is organized in easy-to-read text boxes. Each chapter focuses on one era of music history, covering Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist, Modern, and Post-Modern music.

This book has biographies and songs of music styles like Jazz, Pop, Big Band, Blues, Rock, Reggae, Heavy Metal, and a dozen more, featuring music stars, composers, singers, musicians, conductors, and influencers who created the music we know today.

There are suggestions of iconic song titles to look up and listen to, that give a good example of each type of sound, whether orchestral or rock band or cultural world music.

One of the things I really enjoyed were the factoids that described how music influenced other areas of history, from politics to painting to dance. It was wonderful to see how the history of other art forms developed alongside musical styles.

I appreciated that many different styles and cultures are included in this book, including African, Asian, South American, Arabian, and dozens of other rich cultures each with their uniquely beautiful music history.

I was slightly disappointed to see that most of the book deals with modern music, and only the first 60 pages are dedicated to classical music and the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras. However, those 60 pages are packed full of wonderful history, paintings, biographies of famous composers, and amazing facts about the history of music.

I am so impressed with this colorful book! It gives the reader reliable facts about history and how music has evolved, and sparks the imagination. The joy of music is evident on every page!

This book has hundreds of stickers, and glossy endpapers that can be used as a background for the stickers to be placed and reused in a scene. The stickers are sturdy and don't lose their stickiness over time. I even tried placing a sticker on a plain piece of paper, and it stuck just fine and then came right off without leaving any sticky residue.

The designs for each sticker are colorful and fun! You could use them on the background scene provided with the book, or use them in notebooks, cards, journals, or on any hard surface. There are so many stickers to choose from! Some of them are duplicates, but most are individual designs. I love the vibrant colors!
