I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thanks to BookSirens for my copy.
To put it very simply I loved everything about this book starting with the cover that pulled me in. These stories are ones that remind me of my own childhood and reminded me of why I fell in love with horror at such a young age.
Some of these I would even not be sad about getting s full length novel on.

“You can’t just pick me up and play with me and then leave me. I need more than that. I need to understand what’s happening and why, and I need you to want me to understand. I will be your willing plaything, but even dolls need care.”
Thank you @wrenkmorris for this eARC of your novel in exchange for my honest opinion.
Not going to lie. I expecting monster smut, but I got the sweetest love story WITH smut. Seeing the story of Scylla and Ophelos, but don’t forget about her monsters.
Scylla is different of characters I’m used to. There’s so many layers to her once within this story and seeing them all evolve was amazing to watch.

“No one could escape their family forever. That was truer for her than most, since she was the only one in the family who could see the dead.”
Thank you @NetGalley for this eARC of #LegacyWitches in exchange for my honest review.
What brought my attention to this book in the first place was hands down the cover, summary sounded cool. But this book brought it all!
I love stories about witches and I love when it’s done in a way I don’t usually see or have seen before and the author hit it out of the park with this.
Vivian, a Legacy Witch, comes back to town after the death of her mother to finish up loose ends and sell the house but she gets MUCH more than what she signed up for when returning a solitary witch to a coven of witches who aren’t to happy to see she’s back.

“His balls get more attention than nipples in a wet t-shirt contest.”
The beginning of this book said medium spice, I was left disappointed. There was lots of talk, but NO ACTION. I feel like I need to continue but it has a potential for a good RH, but if I don’t get some spice come the next book I’m OUT.

“Investigators tend to fall within three main groups, believe Sasquatches are either: (a) animals, (b) spirits, or (c) extraterrestrials.”
This book was so much more than I was expecting when starting it for #SureJanBookCult
Sure a guy goes Sasquatch hunting, but his explorations take him into British Columbia rainforest and we learn about the cultures of the people who are living within.

“The voice came from the kitchen sink”
This literally reminded me of The Kitchen Sink from Jungle Jim’s, it had a bit of everything and was so fun to read.
There’s a little bit for everyone found in over twenty stories collected into this one book.

“Maybe I don’t even know what love is. Or maybe I’ve been saturated with the rot of South Side for so long that nothing comes out and nothing gets in. Or maybe my love is just like the rest of me. Ruinous. Mangled. Selfish.”
This series has me in its claws and it’s not letting me go. This one has it ALL. The redemption of one of the characters was perfect, don’t want to give too much away.
BUT PLEASE check the content warnings. K thanks.
