Final Thoughts
This was such an awesome way to finish a series off. Dystopian, zombies, secrets. Unlike the first book, this one had me STRESSED almost from the beginning.

“Not until we have taken a look into the future shall we be strong and bold enough to investigate our past honestly and impartially”

Chariots of the Gods by Erich von Däniken

Quick Summary
This authors book is the first book to introduce the wild theory that ancient earth was visited by aliens.

Final Thoughts
This book is one of the most though provoking books I have read in a long time. The author brings examples that made me go "huh I never thought about that before". I don't have a lot to say because what I've already said pretty much sums my entire feelings.

"There was not point in barring me. But they didn't want me around. Billy showed me the first cut; it was a masterwork. Really, a classic film" Then, he added slyly (in the 1988 interview), "Which I Don't think the version we've all seen is."

The Exorcist Legacy: 50 Years of Fear by Nat Segaloff

Quick Summary
This book gives us a detailed and complete story of the movie that shocked its viewers. Based off of Blattys novel, we get a rundown of the novel, the production, the sequels.

Final Thoughts
Having read the book multiple times as well as seen the movie. I was so excited to read this, considering they were both released before my time. The author goes into detail with parts of interviews and stories from the production of the movie. Throughly enjoyed learning how the movie was made without the technology of today.

Final Thoughts 💭
Thank you @ellamerkadowrites for giving me the honour to be a part of your team. HOWEVER I am fairly certain you wrote this with the goal to make me cry as much as possible.

As much as I loved the first book, I loved this one that much more. This one has my heart in a vice grip from the very beginning.

Power Play Pieces is OUT NOW!

Final Thoughts
I love books about zombies especially when it brings new take to it. This one brought something fresh to the table I didn't realize I'd been missing. The fact that I was so mad when I finished because I NEEDED more after it ended and then finding there is a second book should be reason enough to read this.

“I stare at random tourists and wonder how they would react to their ancestors being stolen for research. I’m guessing they would see it as sacrilege, so why were my ancestors fair game?”

FINAL THOUGHTS 💭
Thank you @NetGalley & MacMillan Audio for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

I was scared going into this book. Scared to be disappointed because I loved Firekeeper’s Daughter THAT MUCH. My fears went away within the first five minutes. This book blew me away.

Angeline has a way to tell a story of people, community and traditions to keep you captivated but to teach you at the same time. This book has my emotions on overdrive through the majority of the book.
Just like her first book, she brings very real life into a work of fiction.

“Monsters don't look like anything, That's the whole point. That's the whole problem.”

Quick Summary
The children of the city of Lucille have been told their whole lives there's no monsters anymore. But when a creature emerges from Jams mothers painting and says otherwise. Jam starts to question what really is a monster?

Final Thoughts
WOW. This book should be taught in schools. The whole time I was listening all I kept thinking of is my husband and how people are so quick to judge him based on his looks but you'd never meet a nicer person. This book is all about good vs. evil and how evil doesn't always look evil. Just an amazing read.

“People always pay a lot of money for things that make them stupid.”

Quick Summary
In the summer of 1960, five boys get caught up in an old evil that has taken over their little town.

Final Thoughts
I read this book a few years ago and didn't love it, but I wanted to give the audiobook a try.
The audiobook was more enjoyable, but the physical descriptions of characters kept turning me off. I also know I have to account for the fact this book is almost as old as I am so the writing style has changed. I almost wish it was written today but still set in the 1960s.

This was just a reminder that RL Stine belongs left in my childhood.

"Could I be a good person if this was my life now? Drug smuggling, murder…where was the line?"

Quick Summary
A delivery girl saves the life of a son of a mafia boss. Now he owes her a life debt.

Final Thoughts
Thank you NetGalley & Relay Publishing for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.
I LOVED THE STORY. But some parts moved too fast for me, I needed it more of a slow burn but it was quick paced and left me on a cliffhanger where I need book two.... Now. But seriously, I was hesitant with a MMC named Angel, but ooof I was left drooling.
