While I can appreciate the beautifulness of this, it was more of a chore for me to pick up the book. 

Maybe I’ll try the first book in the series and see how it goes and then try this one again. Didn’t realize when I saw it at the library it was a series. 

Just. No. 

The writing is choppy, the main character is as interesting as watching paint dry and the whole thing is in need of an editor. 

I just wasn’t feeling it. 

It was just too much. 

Not sure what this book was trying to be. But it wasn’t it for me. 

I just was not connecting with the storyline.

There’s a way to portray people from, I guess you could classify as backwoods without making it so hard to comprehend what’s you’re reading. The author did not succeed in this.
