this was a great introduction into antiracism reading for me and i'll be building on what i learned in the future. (4.5/5 stars)

i don’t think i “enjoyed” reading this book. but it made me feel a lot of things, things i had to embrace and push through. the writing is beautiful. the characters are beautiful. but this book is challenging to read (trigger warnings for rape, abuse, self-harm, suicide, drug use), so be gentle with yourself.

(3.5 stars) that last line though ohhh man *chefs kiss*
