not impressed with this one. surprising considering how much I love her other books :(
really interesting story, but there wasn't as much focus on the characters conditions as I would've liked.
Someone let me know when Marie Lu writes anything that's not perfect....I probably won't believe you. The first book was a but confusing for me, but The Rose Society was absolutely amazing. Not all authors can take credit for a sequel like this.

I really enjoyed this, but it seemed too long and the ending was fairly unsatisfying. The beginning and middle were very well done, but the end was unclear even though it felt like there was too much at times (seriously, the book did not have to be this long).

Oh. My. Gosh.
I just finished this like 5 minutes ago...my head is spinning a little bit and my chest feels tight (probably from trying really hard not to cry in English class). Jojo Moyes is such a talented writer! This is the first of her books that I've read, and I'm happy to say that it kind of crushed my soul! That sounds weird, but I live for books that make me feel extreme emotions. Lou and Will were such amazing, deep characters that I got sucked into the story almost immediately. I loved that the book didn't just focus on Lou and Will, but that we got different perspectives along with other subplots to keep the story from getting too out of hand romance-y. Seriously, I loved this book. Really great way to start off March! Should I read After You (the second book), or keep my view of Louisa and Will untainted by a sequel?

wow. just... wow. I was assuming that the beginning would be a little rocky and then it would get better (I mean, it has such good ratings! is something wrong with me?) but I was struggling to finish it. the concept is really cool (witches, warlocks, Irish magic) but I couldn't deal with the writing style or the characters. full review up on blog by Thursday.

So, if you haven’t realized, I’ve been in a sort of reading slump this past week. All the books I’ve picked up I wasn’t able to finish. But I’m back now and better than ever!! :)
I love the idea of Tooth Goblins. When you turn thirteen (officially becoming a teenager) goblins replace you with a clone so you can fight in a magical war? Sounds good to me. The world created in Tooth Goblins is really intricate with a lot of creatures and different powers. Although there were a few things I didn’t like (more on that later) I enjoyed the story and the ideas.
