i was really excited about this, and it was pretty good! not the best book ever, but a fun reading experience. i wish the male lead was a bit more obvious about his feelings, mostly because i felt like both hannah and myself couldn't see he loved her rather than just her. kinda not sure if this author is for me, so i don't know if i'll read any more from her.

i had a different experience with this book than most because i just immediately accepted that the cat was immortal (or at the very least like, 27 years old) and continued reading.
really liked the time travel/parent-child relationship/best friend in any timeline/teenage girl aspects of this book, but the writing was a little lagging at times and i felt like the ending could have given more in terms of emotional impact. also, if you don't know a lot about NYC, prepare to be confused and ambivalent about a lot of travel/location description!
