honestly not as active as i thought it would be

a beautiful and compelling family saga spanning generations. the middle got a bit muddy but i really enjoyed it overall. definitely heavy and tense for the most part. 

not really a mystery but instead a rich exploration of what happens when you lose what you hold dearest in the world. i guessed who stole the violin within the first 40 pages. compelling explorations of racism, family, success and fame, but the novel as a whole fell a bit short. read half physical and half audio and really enjoyed the narration. 

super fun! writing was a bit choppy but liked the character growth. this would be an iconic holiday film lol
