Okay, I get why this is so often compared to Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren. Someone told me you can’t like both of them? 🙈 which is incorrect because I do like both 😂 I think I did enjoy this one a little more though. I didn’t have the issue of being completely frustrated with the main character as I did with Love and Other Words.

I saw the conflict coming from a mile away though and was kinda disappointed the story went there, but it was still cute 😅 childhood friends to lovers is just a trope I enjoy a lot. I also think I have to admit that I might’ve been cured of my dislike for second-chance romances because I enjoyed this and Love and Other Words AND Happy Place. So I can’t really say I don’t like them 😂 at least if they’re done well.

Big thanks to my colleague Nadie for recommending this book to me! Although this starts out quite slow, and the story doesn’t really seem to be going anywhere for some time, the ending was completely worth it 👌🏼I didn’t expect this book to hit this hard, but I was wrong 🙈 bring out the tissues!
